Hello friends, today's share is an average size easel care. Average size meaning that when it is "closed" it is average size of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". So this means that it will fit nice and snug in an envelope.
A bit ago i did a video on how to make an easel card, click here. This would be made the same way however the measurements would be a bit different (obviously, lol). To make this card you would first start out with a piece of card stock (above i used Basic Black for my base) cut at 4 1/4" x 11", then you would make 1 score mark at 5 1/2" and then 1 at 7 1/4" (or you could put the 5 1/2" score mark in the groove of your trimmer and then score at 2 1/4". Regardless, the goal you are trying to complete is to get the second score mark in the middle so that it will fold down). Next, you want your top piece (again i used Basic Black) cut at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2", this is what is going to sit on your flap and fold up, creating your easel.
I used Whisper White for my main canvas for my image. I used the Madison Avenue stamp set in the Calypso Coral and Wild Wasabi. I then took my Elegant Butterfly punch and punched out 5-10 butterflies int the Basic Black, stacked them all together and then placed one punched out in the Whisper White. This gives it a great 3D effect.
Here is a look at what the card looks like completely closed...
A great clean and simple look. Well, that's all for today!! Thanks for stopping by and until next time...
