So Much Cake

Hello my crafty friends:)  Today I am sharing a Birthday card which uses the ADORABLE Beary Special Birthday set from My Favorite Things!  This set is full of adorable little bears that are waiting to celebrate with you:)  You can also get coordinating dies for this set too!!!

The base of my card is an average top folding A2 size card, measuring 4 1/4" x 11" , scored at 5 1/2".  The actual base of my card is Neenah 80lb card stock and then I placed a piece of the 6x6 Cream & Sugar paper pack that I got in the February Card Kit by Doodlebug.  I then took a coordinating piece from the pack and "tore" it, so that it gave it a completely different look than just being layered on top.

Today I chose to use my Zig Clean Color markers in the colors Pale Rose, Pink Flamingo, Flesh Color and a few Distress Markers: Brushed Corduroy and Pumice Stone on some Ranger Water Color Paper.  Then to finish it off I added some sparkle with my Wink of Stella.

That is the card for today my friends.  I hope you enjoyed and until next time...

Birthday Cards for Olivia

Hi friends.  I have a very quick card share for you today.  A few days ago I saw on the news a story about this little 7 year old girl named Olivia who was battling cancer.  Her 8th birthday is coming up and all that she asked for was an Elmo doll and birthday cards from people (she loves to get mail).  I wanted to share with you the card that I sent her.  Today there is no supply list because to be honest I wasn't planning on sharing it.  But, I thought her story was just amazing and wanted to share it with you.

I used a mixture of Stampin' Up! products as well as a few other images that I had in my "stash".  I believe that the cake is from the Fifteen Candles set but to be honest the company that makes it is escaping me.  This is a set that I have had FOREVER!!!!!

Of course I made the card Elmo themed being that Olivia loves Elmo and then decided to put a fun pop-up element with the cake on the inside.  I thought this card would be perfect for our young birthday girl.  I wanted to share her story with you too, in case you would like to send Olivia a birthday card of your own.  You can visit a newscast about her HERE.

Well, I hope you all have enjoyed this share today and until next time...

Beany Easter

Hey there stampers! Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today card share.

Today I am sharing an Easter card that I made which involves a ton of Copic Coloring.  Sometimes it is just so therapudic to sit back and color... like we did when we were kids.  My daughter and I have been doing a lot of coloring lately (she loves crafting just like her mommy) so while she is coloring her books, I stamp and color some images.

For this card I thought it would be cute to have jelly beans falling out of the jar from the newly released Lawn Fawn stamp set, How You Bean.  I wanted it to be more of an "Easter" card with the bunny so I took the little guy from the Going Places stamp set and had him peak out from the massive pile of jelly beans.

Here is a closer look at the set that I used today:

So that is the quick post for today.  Hope you all enjoyed and until next time...

HUGE (but simple) Birthday Wishes

Hi everyone. Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today's super SUPER simple card share.

Today I am sharing a birthday card that uses the adorable stamp set Wild Birthday by Avery Elle.  This is such an adorable set and is one of my favorites to color with any kind of medium.  Today I chose to color this cute little hippo with some simple Copic markers.  Now, I made this card prior to making my supply lists for my blog here, so I apologize about that, so I am unsure of the exact ink colors that I used or the exact "red" that I used for the base of my card.  But I am pretty sure that I used my C1, C3, and C5 Copic Markers to color in my hippo.  This is just some super simple shading in the areas where I thought there would be a shadow.  Just to add some interest to this card, I used my Large Stitched Rectangle Dies from Lawn Fawn. Being that this card is so simple, it is definitely listed under Sara's Simple Shares.

Here is a closer look at the Wild Birthday stamp set that is featured in today's card:

Well friends, that is all for today.  Thanks a bunch for stopping by and taking a peek.  Until next time...

Everything's Ok

Hi there everyone:)  Hope you are all having a wonderful week so far!!

Today's share I used some of my left over items from the February Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp. This kit had some really cute products in it... like always!!!:)  I chose to make this card with a few different layers but it is still only a single layer card.

I used my Layering Circles framelits from Stampin' Up! to house my cute little "puffy" coffee cup sticker.  The adorable paper is from the kit as well.  It's called Cream & Sugar and it is a 6x6 paper pad.  LOVE IT!!

Here is a closer look at the stamp set that I used today for my sentiment. It is from Inside & Out Sayings by Simon Says Stamp.  This is a great/versatile set that has everything that you would need to finish off your card with a great sentiment:

Well that is all for today friends.  Thanks for stopping by.  Until next time...

Going Places

Hi there stampers:)  Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today's share:)

Today is a little simple, cute inspirational card using the ADORABLE stamp set Going Places by Wplus9. This set is soooo cute.  You can have your choice of having some of the cute little critters either in the balloon or on the ground. I just love it!! :)

I made my scene using my Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool and some Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink as well as Peacock Feathers. This is how I got my "sky" background.  Just blending them in and together with each other until I got the look that I wanted.  I then used my Stitched Snow Drifts die with some Simon Says Stamp green cardstock and that is how I got my hills.

Here is a closer look at the set that I used today:

Well that is all for today friends.  Thanks so much for stopping by today and until next time...

Hello Sunshine

Hi there!  Today I have a quick share with you of this sunshine card I made using some computer paper and the I Love You More stamp set from My Favorite Things. I tried to link to this stamp but I wasn't able to find where you could purchase it if you were interested:(  I'm sure though you may be able to find it on EBay though:)

Anyway, here is a look at what the entire stamp set looks like:

Now for this card I knew that I wanted a "sunlike" background, however I didn't have a stencil or anything like the sun.  So I improvised and cut one out myself using computer paper.  I measured out the width that I wanted my "rays" (making them uneven and not perfect) and then I sponged my ink in my homemade stencil.

Now, I have to apologize that I made this card long before I knew I was going to be posting to my blog again, so once again there is no supply list:(  But I promise, the cards that will be coming or going to have a supply list.  These ones I still wanted to share with you though:)

Well with that being said I hope you enjoyed today's quick share.  Until next time...

Flower Text with Inktense

Hi stampers:) Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today's card share.  Today I am sharing a card where I used an older but goody stamp; the Flower Text stamp set from Hero Arts.  I LOVE this stamp because it is a large background stamp, but also because it looks like you did something really creative by having the words behind the flowers, when actually... it just comes that way:)

I used my Hero Arts White Embossing Powder to make sure that I had a nice thick white edge.  Then, I used my Derwent Inktense Colored Pencils to color in my flowers. These pencils are great for water coloring.. especially for beginner water coloring like what I am doing.  They blend really easy and make such a beautiful color.  I used a small paint brush for the card above:)

Here is a look at the stamp that I used today:

Well that is all for today friends.  Thanks for stopping by today and until next time...

Simply Amazing

Hi there stampers:)  Today's card is a simple card where I used a few bright colors along with the Scenery Stripes stamp set from Winnie & Walter.

This set is great for creating your own custom backgrounds.  It has a great variety of "stripe" stamps that make is so quick and easy.  I used a variety of bright colored inks (forgive me, I didn't write down which ones I used because i was SURE I would remember.... HA!!)  My cards today measures average size of 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and then scored at 4 1/4", making it a normal side folding card.  For my Neenah 80lb piece I cut that just slightly smaller on each of the sides so that my black piece would show just a bit more on the sides.  I think for a simple card like this it really makes it pop.  To finish, I took some clear sequence and adhered them on with my Ranger Multi-Mat adhesive.  This is a great strong adhesive perfect for sequence.

Here is a closer look at the stamp set that I used today:

Well that is for all stampers!  And never fear, I have been writing my products down that I use so I will be able to provide a supply list.  Some of these cards I made prior to getting my blog up and running again.  Until next time all...

Birthday Flyby

Hi there stampers:)  Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today's card share.  Today I am sharing this super cute dragon birthday card that I am just absolutely obsessed with.  This is a My Favorite Things stamp set called Magical Dragons, and let me tell you... they don't come much cuter than this.  This set has a coordinating die set that I really think is worth getting.

The background that I chose to do is using some Distress Inks and my Distress water sprayer to create those water drops that you see. I have been loving playing with my distress inks again lately, they are just so much fun!!

The balloons that I used are from a Stampin' Up! stamp set called Balloon Celebration which has a coordinating balloon punch that you can get as well.  However you can easley cut these balloons out and be just fine:)  I colored my dragon and my balloons with some simple copic coloring using only a couple colors for each.

Here is a closer look at the Magical Dragon stamp set (too cute!!!!)

Well folks that is all for the share today:)  I really hope that you enjoyed today and until next time...

Hearted Valentine

Hi stampers:)  Today is a share of this super simple last minute Valentine idea... or of course just a card to tell someone you love them:)

This is using my left over pieces that I had from my Clipping Hearts die from the card that I shared the other day.  You can view that post HERE.  That is another nice part about cutting all those dies to get the stacked look like I did on that other card, you get all the little pieces so you can create another great project:)

I then just took a piece of black card stock and added my sentiment from the Just Sayin' stamp set from SU!.  It is now retired but I am sure if this is a set that you want you can find it on E-Bay or a site like that:)  And that is it my friends... super simple and cute:)

Here is a look at the Clipping Hearts die that I used:
Well, I hope you all enjoyed today's share!! Until next time...

Love Our Life Together!

Hi stampers!!! I hope you all had an amazing weekend.  We went camping... well we went camping in our living room:) We put the tent up in there and everything.  My daughter thought that it was the coolest things.  It put on the "cool parent list" for the day:)

Today's share is of the card that I mad for my hubby for Valentines Day.  Well, that is the card as of now that I think I am going to give him.  I used the new Simon Says Stamp Clipping Heart die as well as the Kristina's Love stamp set.  Both were received in my January club kit.  I die cut my Clipping Hearts 6 times with some Neenah Solar White 80lb card stock and then layered all of my cutouts using some Elmers Spray Adhesive . I love this adhesive, it gives you a great hold and works really well for little intricit dies like this but gives you wiggle room when you are placing your dies on top of each other for a technique such as this.

I just love how it gives it that extra dimension.  For the background of my card I blended together Abandoned Coral and Picked Raspberry Distress inks with my Mini Round Blending Tool on some Tim Holtz Water Color Paper.  Then to give depth I used my Tim Holtz Distress Sprayer.  This sprayer gives you the option of a fine mist or bigger droplits, which I love that you have the choice in one bottle.

Here is a look at the Clipping Hearts die that I used today:

Well that is it for today.  Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a happy Monday!!!  Until next time...

Foil Valentine

Hi friends!! I am so excited to share today's card with you.  Today is a Valentines Day card where I used my new Heidi Swapp Minc Machine. OMGoodness... this machine is AMAZING!! Let's just say I have been foiling everything in sight!  I used the beautiful color Hot Pink Reactive Foil.  Let me just tell you that this picture does not do it justice.

I tried to angle my picture a little bit more so that I could try and show this foil, but again... doesn't do it justice as all!!

You can do foiling a couple of different ways, with this card here I used my laserjet printer (foil only sticks to toner), found some heart images that I liked and then arranged them on my card how I wanted them.  Really, the possibilities with the foil are ENDLESS!!!

Here is what the machine looks like:

Well that is all for today.  I hope you all enjoyed today's quick share.  Thanks for stopping by and until next time...

Inktense Pencil - Water Color

Hi there all.  So, I told you that I was obsessed with water color lately. Today I used my Inktense Pencils and my Aqua Painter Brush. I have to say I LOVE my Inktense Pencils.  I have found that if I take my brush tip and pull the court right off of the pencil tip I get much better color.

I used the stamp set Hennah Elements from Alte & New. Love this set.  It is a great floral set that is awesome for coloring.  It has big open images that make it so easy.  Now I am not good, as you know, with shading really because I'm a newbie but these pencils kind of blend themselves. All you really have to do is put down color, blend it out and then place a tiny bit more color on top and boom... it's blended:)

My card is an average A2 top folding size card and I used Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper. I will say this too, anyone says paper doesn't matter they are totally lying to you:) It matters. I did this water coloring on Neenah Solar White 110lb and it was a mess... and that is a thick paper.

Here is a look at the stamp set that I used as well as the Strathmore Bristol paper and Inktense pencils. I am just showing you everything today;)

Well that is all I have for you today.  Thanks for taking a peek and until next time..

Marquee Birthday

Hi there friends.  Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'.  Today I am sharing a quick and simple card that I made using some Stampin' Up! product.  I used the awesome set Marquee Messages to create this birthday card.  Yup, another birthday card:)

I stamped my image with some Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink so that I could do some simple Copic coloring.  The only coloring that I did on this image was the arrow and I used my C1, C3, and C5 Copic markers.  I then added tiny rhinestones all over the outside of the arrow to give it some bling:) Can't forget the bling:) This card took me all of 20 mins to make. A great last minute card for that one birthday that we all seem to forget:)

Hope you're having an amazing week thus far! Until next time...
