On The Edge Video

Welcome stampers!! I'm so glad you were able to take a peek at today's Friday Video here at Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'.

Today's share is of  a technique that I call "On The Edge".  It is where you take an image and/or a framelit and it hangs off the edge.  I love this technique.  It just adds that little WOW factor to a card.  This is what I would consider a Sara's Simple Share being that I literally used about 5 products, lol.

The card that I made in the video today I used the colors So Saffron and Pool Party for my butterfly, however after it dried for a bit it actually looks more green and yellow than blue and yellow... and I actually LOVE the way that it changed colors and the way that it looks.  Gives me another idea for another card... hmmmmm...:)

This technique is fairly simple and I love that it is so versatile, you can pretty much use it with any die set that you have:)

So that is all for today my friends.  Thanks again for stopping by and until next time...

Thoughts and Prayers

Hello everyone.  Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today's card share.

As much as we all hate to admit it, we every once in awhile need a sympathy card.  A co-worker of me lost someone close to her the other day and sometimes people don't really know what to say... so I always like to express myself through a card.  It says everything that I need it to.

I used a stamp set today that has been around forever... it's called Thoughts and Prayers and it is an amazing set. I used a piece of Everyday Chic on the left side of my card because I didn't want it to be just one solid color.  I broke it up with a piece of Pink Pirouette and then added a bow using the Blushing Bride cotton ribbon.  Very subtle and elegant I think.

Have you all got your last minute orders in so that you can receive one of the Sale-A-Bration items for free?  If not, make sure to take a peek at the catalog and place your order here.  I really appreciate your business and your support:)

Hope you all have a fantastic day and until next time...

Way To Go - Woo Hoo!!!

Hi there stampers.  A quick share today showing the Party Pants stamp set again along with the Bravo stamp set.  This is a congrats card that I made.

I used the balloon image from the Party Pants stamp set and stamped it in Melon Mambo and then in Crushed Curry and then used the coordinating balloon punch.  I chose these colors because they coordinate with the It's My Party DSP that I used today.  I am OBSESSED with this DSP! You can use it for absolutely everything!!!

Don't forget that Sale-A-Bration is only going on until March 31st.  I have been informed that the Metallic Glitter Tape is sold out... items are going quick so make sure to get what you want, when you can:)

Also, the In-Colors for 2014-2016 will be retiring in May,  So make sure that if there is a product that you want that you order it before they are gone for good.  The items that will be retiring are listed below.

Thanks for stopping by today friends.  Until next time...

Wedding Wishes

Hello everyone!! Wishes of a very happy Easter from our family to yours!! I hope you have all had a fabulous day!! We have had a fantastic day filled, with Easter egg hunts, family time, yummy food and so much more.

Today I thought that I would share a Sara's Simple Share wedding card that I made using the Glitter Tape again as my vocal point really.  This is an item that you can get for FREE during Sale-A-Bration but you have to hurry... Sale-A-Bration ends on March 31... so that is 4 days from today! YIKES!!!

I posted a card last week where I made the background in the Glitter Tape... this I did pretty much the same thing except I only put in in one corner... just enough to give it a little bling:)

I love the colors together of Black and White (those were actually the colors for mine and my hubby's wedding).  I just think they look so classic and elegant together.  So I chose a Basic Black background that measures average size of 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2".  Then I just took my tape, arranged them in the color order that I wanted and there you go:)

So, I thought I would share with you a little something special that we did for Emma this year for Easter.  We had a bag of Jellybeans laying around so I started calling them "Jellybean Seeds".  We went out to the back and planted some.  She got to plant them wherever she wanted.  She was so excited and so hopeful that they would grow into something yummy overnight.

She was so excited when she woke up this morning, went to check on her seeds to discover that they had in fact grew!!!!

It's the little things!!  Well, that is all for today my friends.  Thanks for taking a peek today and until next time...

Faux Pocket Video

Happy Friday stampers!! Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today's Friday Video.

Today's share is of what I am calling the Faux Pocket card.  I posted a card similar to this a couple of weeks ago where it looked like the paper was being ripped away to reveal the greeting, you can view that post HERE, but I wanted to make something flatter, lol... if that makes any sense.

This card I turned into an Easter card since Easter is just a few days away.  It's a simple card if you need a last minute one:)   As you will notice in the video, this isn't my first attempt at this card. I made one prior to the video to get my measurements and things of that nature the way that I wanted them and wasn't really happy with how the card turned out.  So, during the video I changed some things.  Isn't that part of the fun of card-making/crafting... coming up with different ways of doing things... tweeking things just a bit to get it right?

Here is the first one that I made:

It doesn't look a TON different but to me it just looked too plain.  Plus, on this card I popped the bunny's eyes up on dimensionals and I didn't like that either, lol.  So, I changed it:)

Well that is all for today folk's.  Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek.  Don't forget to check out the Sale-A-Bration Catalog before you head out.  There is still time to get your items for FREE!!! Sale-A-Bration ends March 31st, so don't delay:)

Fishy Fishy

Hi stampers, welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'!!

Today's share is a punch art card where I made some fishy's under the sea:)  I thought that this card would be cute for a birthday card, or a hello card to a little one that you don't live close to... I didn't put a greeting on the front because I didn't want to take away from the scene.  Whenever and to whomever I send it to I will just put it on the inside.

The fish are made out of a few different punches.  I used my 1 3/4" Circle Punch for the "adult" fish and then the 1 3/4" Scallop Circle for the scales.  The baby fish is using the 1 1/4" Circle Punch and then the 1 1/4" Scallop Circle.  I wanted to make seaweed rather than just stamp something so I found the the "leaf" die in the Rose Garden Framelits.  I think it worked perfect!!

Now don't forget all... Sale-A-Bration is only available until March 31st!! That is a week from tomorrow!!! You still have time to get your hands on the free items that are in the catalog!!  You can check that out HERE.

Well, that is all for today my friends.  Thanks so much for taking a peek today and until next time...

Metallic Congrats Grad - Money Holder

Hi stampers.  I hope you have all had a super sparkly day.  Much like today's card!  I was thinking of a graduation card to make and I wanted it to be shimmery and glittery.  I thought about using the glimmer paper but didn't really want it to be that heavy.  So, I decided to make my own background using the Metallic Glitter Tape that you can get right now during Sale-A-Bration.  You can get this product for free right now when you spend $50 or more before s/h and tax.  But don't wait too long to place your order... Sale-A-Bration is only going on until March 31st!!!  That's next Thursday!!!  You can find this product on the Sale-A-Bration Extra Flyer

The Metallic Glitter Tape comes in 3 different colors; Silver, Champagne, and Gold.  I took a piece of Whisper White card stock, started in the center from point to point with my first color and then built it up from there.  I love the way it turned out.  Now, as I am sure you know graduation is a time to give that special grad the gift of the all mighty dollar, to help out with whatever they may need on their next adventure into adulthood.  Well, this I turned into a money/gift card holder

It's kept together by a cute belly band which also serves as a place to hold the greeting.

Well, that is all for today friends.  Thanks for stopping by today and taking a peek.  Until next time...

Sara's Simple Share Masculine Birthday

Hello stampers! Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin':)  I'm so glad you were able to take a minute to take a peek.

Today I have a Sara's Simple Share for you.  I try to post a Simple Share every now and then to show that a card doesn't have to have a lot going on to be beautiful.

This card is a masculine card.  A birthday card to be exact.  I used a piece of Early Espresso for my base which is measured at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4". I then took a piece out of the Going Global DSP stack and cut that down to 4" x 5 1/4". I didn't want the edges to be so blunt so I sponged the edged with some Soft Suede ink to help them blend together.

Then, I took an image from The Open Sea, stamped it on a piece of 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" Very Vanilla and backed it with a piece of Marina Mist measuring at 3" x 3".  Popped it up on some Stampin' Dimensionals and that's it my friends.  Pretty simple.  I think the whole card took me like 10 minutes to complete.  A card doesn't have to take a ton of time to do or have a ton going on... it just has to come from the heart and it will be perfect:)

The item that I showcasing today is going to be the Going Places DSP Stack:

You can get this amazing stack right now in the Occasions Catalog right now.  Well that is all for today friends.  Thanks again for stopping by and until next time...

Brushed Easter Egg

Hello stampers!! Happy Monday to you:)  I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. This weekend was my "girls day" with 2 of my best friends.  We went and got our hair done (mine was in desperate need!!), got mani's and pedi's and then dinner and a bit of the casino.  I don't gamble much but it was nice to see my friends play and actually win:)  The Sunday Emma and I spent the entire day in my craft room making Easter crafts.  I had to make a couple cards for a gal at work.  I will share what those look like down below.

Today's share is what I am calling Brushed Easter Egg.  I have seen this card around Pinterest and had to make one myself.  It is just very simple and very elegant.  It measures average size of 4 1/4" x 11" and then scored at 5 1/2".  It is a Whisper White base with a piece of Whisper White on top of that measuring at 4" x 5 1/4".  I used my Oval Framelits and cut an Oval out of the top piece of Whisper White, traced it onto my base which allowed me to stamp my image where it needed to go.

The set that I used today is Work of Art.  I have been using this set A LOT lately! I just can't seem to get enough of it:)

And as a reminder...

But it's not too late to get your free items.  Sale-A-Bration is going until March 31st.  Click on the image above to see the amazing products that you can still receive for free with your purchase of $50 or more before s/h and tax.

Now here is a quick peek at the Easter cards that I made for my co-worker's grandson's.

Well that is all for today my friends.  Thanks for taking a peek today and until next time...

Surprise Bookmark Card Video

Hi stampers! Welcome to my little place on the Web and today's Friday Video:)  Today's share is of a secret bookmark card that I made.  I love to read (when I get a chance to that is), and I am an old school girl, I like to read actual books not tablets so bookmarks come in handy for me.

Let's go ahead and take a look at today's video:)

The card that I made in the video is a very simple card, there isn't a lot going on.  I think that it is nice, simple and elegant.

The item that I am showcasing today is the Suite Sayings set.  It is such a cute set. There is something that can be used for everything!

Well stampers that is all for today's share.  I really hope you enjoyed.  Until next time...
