Happy Birthday?

Welcome back! Well, the day after Christmas meaning that we all survived yet another holiday season!  Christmas this year for our family was absolutely perfect!! Watching our little girl, who turned 1 in November, tear into her gifts (when she was into it, lol) was just fabulous!  Our living room now looks as though a toy store exploded but that just helps remind us how bless she/we are!!

For today's card i wanted to share another birthday card that i made for our many birthday's coming up in January! I used the stamp set Sill Monkey again from Paper Studios. I just love this set and love using it!!  For the backing on my card i used the Vine Street Embossing folder that is available for SAB (Sale-a-bration) this year.  For those of you that don't know... SAB is when you can receive free product from the SAB flyer for every $50 you spend (before taxes and s/h).  The new Spring Catalog and SAB are available January 3rd, however you can request your Spring Catalog and SAB flyer now by clicking HERE.

For today's featured product i wanted to give you an up close look at the paper that i used today, Wild Wasabi. It is such a beautiful shade of "green"...
Also, i wanted to let you know that the replacement accessories for the new FABULOUS trimmer are now available for ordering.

The following Stampin' Trimmer accessories are now available for purchase:
  • Stampin' Trimmer Cutting Blades (item 126995)

Birthday Girl

Merry Christmas Eve everyone!!! Even with today being Christmas Eve, i thought that i would show a card that is also big this time of year for my family, birthday's.  Beginning on December 14th until the end of January there are 10 birthday's!  That is a lot of cake, lol:)  Therefore today i wanted to show a birthday card.

Today's card is a fast and simple card but yet so adorable i think!! I used the new 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch that is in the new Spring Catalog (available for ordering January 3rd).  Still need a Spring Catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochure?  Well click HERE and contact me today!!

Once i placed my scalloped circle's where i wanted them, i ran it through my Big Shot in the Square Lattice embossing folder, giving it some great texture!  With that said, the Square Lattice embossing folder and Big Shot are the products that i want to highlight today.

Well i hope you all enjoyed the quick post today.  Until next time...

Snowy Snowman

Happy Saturday. For some of us today is the first official day of Christmas Vacation! How exciting! I know that for me personally i am so looking forward to this vacation. Spending time with family and friends! Our family has so many things to do over this "vacation" time, we are going to need a vacation to help us rest from our "vacation", lol. But it is all worth it!!

For today's card i thought i would share with you the card that i made for my daughter. Granted, she is only 1 but i plan on making her a card each and every year!

I decided to made a 3 dimensional card this year.  Above is what the front looks like. A snowman for each member of our family.  Here is a look from the side, so you can see how it stands up...
For today's featured product i wanted to highlight on the Stylin' Snowfolk stamp set that i used to make my snow people. What a great holiday set!
Hope you all enjoyed. Until next time...

Let's take a look at today's Friday Video Tutorial....

Merry

Good morning!!  Well, today's card is another card that you could use as a masculine Christmas card for a special man in your life!

I started this card by making a card at average size, 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".  Then i cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler (one of my favorite colors to use for the holidays) at 5 3/8" x 4 1/16".  I topped that with a piece of DSP from the Festival of Prints paper pack, still available HERE at 5 1/4" x 3 15/16".  To make my strip i used the Cherry Cobbler again and cut it at 3 15/16" x 2 and then topped it with the same DSP from the back of my card to help bring it all together. That DSP is cut at 3 15/16" x 1 1/4".

For my snowman stamp, i used the Button Buddies stamp set, which is the product that i am featuring today. It is an adorable set that has many different options. Plus i love that it reminds you to use a button.  Me, personally, haven't always been a "button" girl but with this set it gives me a chance to step out of the box, lol.  Here is a look at the complete set...

So cute!!! Well, that's all for today. I hope you enjoyed.  Until next time...

Merry Christmas Masculine

It seems that whenever i think of Christmas i think of Green, Red, Blue, and GLITTER!!!!! But when making cards for the males in my family, I have to remember that not all men like to wear glitter for the rest of their day after opening their Christmas card, lol, so i though that today i would post a Masculine Christmas card that is
still very elegant and pretty, but yet not filled with Dazzling Details and Glitter:)

For the base of my card i chose the Very Vanilla card stock, measuring at average size of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I wanted to keep the look that reminds me of Christmas, so i chose the Lucky Limeade and Real Red as my base colors.  The first layer of Lucky Limeade is cut at 5 1/4" x 4".  I then placed a strip of the Candlelight Christmas DSP on top which measures 5 1/4" x 1 3/4". The second piece of Very Vanilla, which i sponged with some Soft Suede Ink to give it a bit of a "rough manly" look, is measured at 4 1/2" x 3 1/2".  Next comes my pop of Real Red cut at 4" x 3". For my tree from the stamp set Christmas Lodge i backed a piece of Very Vanilla, again sponged with Soft Suede, cut at 3 1/2" x 2 1/4" with the same DSP cut at 3 3/4" x 2 1/2".

For today's featured product i wanted to highlight the Candlelight Christmas DSP.

This awesome DSP is still available HERE in the holiday mini, but don't wait too long, the amazing products are only available in this catalog until January 2, 2013! Which might I add is a fantastic day... it just happens to be someones birthday!!!!

Well, i hope you enjoyed today's card.  Until next time friends...

Tope Note Gift Card Holder

Good morning everyone and welcome back.  What a crazy, yet so much fun, weekend i had! During the weekend, beginning Friday, i have done nothing but shop, shop, shop!!  Urg, i never thought i would say it but i am about shopped out!!  Getting the last minute things around before Christmas (i can't believe that it is next week YIKES!!!).

During my shopping outing some of the things that i purchased were gift cards.  You always have those few people in your family that seem to already have everything or you just don't know what to get them so you are left with a gift card!  I like though to put it in a handmade holder and then that way it seems a little more personal:)  This one is made using the Top Note die. Isn't it adorable?!?!?!?
This is what the inside looks like.  It is held together with Velcro but you could use anything really. A button with ribbon, a magnet... whatever your heart desires!

Well, hope you enjoyed today's post! Until next time...

New Trimmer

Hi all, happy Friday.  So for today's Friday video i wanted to highlight on the new trimmer that is offered by SU!, WOW, what a trimmer. As you can tell by my video, i think i say it about a million times, this trimmer is just amazing! I can't say enough good things about it.... see for yourself!!

Isn't that just awesome?!?!? There are so many neat new features that the trimmer offers!  One thing that i wanted to mention about it that i didn't in the video is that on the arm of the trimmer (the arm that flips up and down, that hold your blades), on there are measurements as well that are the same as the top part of your trimmer. So making projects now like boxes or what have you, you can now measure downward too to make your mark, how nifty is that? I just love it!

Well, i hope that your enjoyed today's highlight video of the new trimmer.  Until next time...

Secret Garden Sneek Peek

WELCOME BACK!!! I am so glad that you stopped by today! Today's card is using another stamp set that is going to be available in the new Spring Catalog (starting January 3rd).  Have i mentioned how much i love this new catalog? I don't think that there is one thing in there that i don't just absolutely love!!  Which isn't anything new but still.  Interested in purchasing a Spring Catalog so that you can get your "wish list" all ready for the 3rd?  Well, contact me HERE today to place your order today!!

The set used above is a beautiful floral set called Secret Garden, i just love floral sets!  To color in my flowers i used my Water Colored Pencils and my Aqua Pen and then sponged around them with some Old Olive Ink.  I didn't want my card to be too "busy" because i didn't want anything to take away from the Boldness of my flowers.

Today's product that i am featuring is the Water Colored Pencils! I don't use these a ton (sniff, sniff) but should really get into them more because they are so much fun to use!!
Hope you all enjoyed today and until next time....

Just for You

Whoa, what a morning friends! Have you ever had those morning where you are soooo confy in bed that you think that for whatever reason if you just close your eyes for five more minutes the universe is going to realize how comfy you are and just magically stop time?  Well that is the morning that i had this morning. All snuggled up with my baby girl hoping that every time i hit the "snooze" button (whomever invented that should be shot, lol) that time wouldn't of changed from last time. Sadly that wasn't the case and when i finally did roll out of bed..... let's just say it was rush, rush, rush, lol:)

Today's card is a very simple card that i made using the Papillan Potourri Stamp set and matching Elegant Butterfly Punch. This stamp set and punch are just amazing. The punch actually punches out the image right up to the line.  Meaning that you don't have that white ridge around your image.  I used Copic markers to color my butterflies, i only used 2 colors to blend with instead of 3 (see list below for color numbers).

Today's featured items are the Papillan Potourri Stamp Set and the Elegant Butterfly Punch:

Well all, hope you enjoyed today's simple Just for You card! Until next time...

Secret Money Holder Card

Hello Bloggers, welcome back to Mrs. Linoln's Inkin'! Today i wanted to share this card with you that i made using the fabulous Festival of Prints DSP that is still available HERE in the Holiday Mini Catalog. This pack of paper is so cute!! I just love it! The paper pack measures 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" so it is great to use for back pieces to your card seems how it is closer to the size of an average card (4 1/4" x 5 1/2").

The fun and unique thing about this card is that it isn't just a card, it is actually a secret money holder! Where you ask? Well....

The front part of the card pulls out and you are able to fit a single bill in there. If you were to widen the front panel, used above in the Lucky Limeade you could also fit a gift card in there.

My card measures at average size with the panel measuring at 4 3/8" x 2 5/8". The DSP to cover it is measured at 4 1/8" x 2 1/2". I then used my 1 3/8" Circle Punch to punch out a 3/4" moon so that you could pull the tag out. The tag is made out of the Two Tags Die.

Today's featured project is the Festival of Prints DSP, i just can't say enough of this small paper pack. It is absolutely wonderful!!
Well, hope you enjoyed and until next time....
