Best Mother

Hello all.  Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'.  What a wonderful weekend it has been.  The weather has been perfect and we were able to be in the pool and relax in the sunshine.  For today's share I wanted to show you a little card that I made for my amazing Mama.  I used the new specialty paper, Color Me Irresistable.  It is all white, but if you take some color and your Brayer to it, you can make it any color that you want:)  For this card I chose to use Pink Pirouette.  I used a piece of Basic Black form my base.  I LOVE white, pink and black together:)

I then used a flower image from the Crazy About You set and used the coordinating Flower Medallion punch.  To add the finishing touches I used a Metal Rimmed Pearl and my Gel Pen for some faux stitching.

Don't miss out on the Weekly Deals that are going on right now. These deals are only around until Tuesday and then a new release will be made.

Wishes Your Way

Hi everyone.  Today's card share is a simple card that uses new goodies.  It uses the new Writing Notes background stamp which I must say I was so super excited about when I saw it in the new catalog.  I must say though, in my scrapbooking I am HUGE into journaling and was so excited thinking that I could use this to make my own journaling sheets, but when I received it i noticed that it is made to have the lines look "uneven", so if you are looking for a stamp that has perfectly straight lines for journaling this isn't going to be for you, lol but it is still a great stamp and it is so pretty and neat for backgrounds:)

I used the leaf image from Butterfly Basics and stamped it in Pear Pizzazz, lifted my stamped slightly, moved it a little bit and then stamped it again now giving it a lighter shade of color.  My base measures average size of 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2".  The base of the card is in the Cucumber Crush card stock with the second layer being in the Calypso Coral. This layer measures 4" x 5 1/4".

The item that I am showcasing today is the Writing Notes stamp.  Now I don't want you all to think that I don't like this stamp, because I really do like it... I just wanted everyone to be aware that the lines are not perfect:)  I didn't notice it in the catalog when I looked at it... didn't realize it until I received it:) So just wanted to give a heads up for those that thought they may like to use it for journaling:)

Don't forget to check out the new Weekly Deals that were released today:)  YAY!!!

Texan Father's Day

Hi there all my crafty friends.  Today's share is a Father's Day card that I made for my Father-in-Law.  They recently moved to Texas so I thought this was the perfect card.  I used the Star Framelits and heat embossed it with some Silver embossing powder.  I made it 3D by making a score line from each point of the top of the star down to the bottom (indented) point.  Then, you fold on all your score lines and it will become 3D.

I then used the Brick Wall embossing folder with some Cajun Craze card stock for the wall.  To add a bit more texture I used my Sponge and Cajun Craze ink and just dabbed it all over the brick wall.

I didn't just want my star to be on a piece of Whisper White so I used a piece of scrap Basic Black to put behind the star.  How did I hold the star on there you ask?  Well, I just put Glue Dots on all of the points and then stuck it down.

The item that I am showcasing today are the Heart Framelits.

Well that is the share for today.  Until next time my friends...

Sara's Simple Share - Simple Hello

Hi everyone.  Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today's card.  Today is another Sara's Simple Share.  This is a line of products that I make that literally could take 5 minutes or less or even 5 products or less.  Sometimes, we need a certain type of card and don't have one but don't have a lot of time to make one either.

The card that I made today is just a simple hello card.  It uses the Watercolor Wings stamp set.  This is a two (or even three) step stamp set.  Today I chose to used Memento and then Pumpkin Pie ink.

Well that is all for today friends.  Thanks for stopping by and until next time...

Thanks Flower Patch

Hi there peeps.  Welcome to my share today here at Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'.  Today's card is a card that I would call a simple share except for the fussy cut that I did with the wheelbarrow.  For those of you that aren't quite sure what fussy cut is, it is where you take a stamped image and then cut it out by hand.  I don't do it often but I really wanted that wheelbarrow for this card which is from the You're Sublime stamp set that I showcased yesterday.  I told you it was one of my favorites!!

My card measures average size of 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4".  The card stock that I used for my base is Whisper White but it is the thick/heavy Whisper White.  Stampin Up! came out with this with card bases in mind.  It is really wonderful!!!!  I then used a piece of Crumb Cake and the new Brick Wall embossing folder.  I chose to only bring this about half way up my card.  Then, I lined the meeting point of the Whisper White and Crumb Cake with flowers punch out using the Pansy Punch and Flower Shop stamp set.

The item that I am showcasing today is the Brick Wall embossing folder and the Big Shot.  I am really loving this embossing folder too lately!!

Well that is all today friends.  Until next time...

Under the Sea

Hi stampers.  Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today's fun share.  Today's card is a fun card that I just kind of "went with" when I was making it.  It didn't turn out exactly how I pictured it in my head but I still thought that I would share it.  I still think it's cute.  But that's the thing with paper crafting... sometime when you're in the middle of a project... it just isn't going as planned...so you just go with it and hope that the end product is something that you don't want to pitch into the trash, lol.

The base of my card measures average size of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and is using the Marina Mist card stock.  I then used an image from the Sea Street stamp set, the little fish, and randomly stamped them all over the base.  Give it more of an under the sea affect, lol.  I then cut out an Oval using the Oval Framelits on an additional piece of Marina Mist cut the same size.  I then stamped an image from the super new super cute stamp set called You're Sublime. That set is soooo cute oh my goodness!!!  I wanted it to look like it was under the sea... maybe floating a ways away so I topped it with a piece of Vellum.

Then I added a boarder of Night of Navy ring around the oval for more depth.  Then, I did a little bit of punch art and tried to make an octopuss out of a few punches.  I think he turned out super cute:)

Haha he cracks me up!  I took my Wild Wasabi marker and put dots all over him for a skin kind of look:)  The item that I am showcasing today is the You're Sublime stamp set.  It is so cute I can barely take it.  It has been a go to set since I got my new goodies

Fancy Fold Corner Card Video

Hello stampers!! Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today card share and Friday Video!!  I know that I just posted a card like this yesterday, you can view that post here, and said that I was hoping to get a video in soon... well... sooner came sooner than I thought, lol:) I just had to show you how to make this cute card. Let's just jump right into the video shall we?

Now, I know in the video I said I was going to try and show you a picture of the DSP on the card stock to cut it... well I couldn't really find a way to actually take a picture of it because... well... the card stock was upside down, lol.  So, let's see if I can explain it in writing.  Whichever side your DSP is on is the side that you want to be facing down on your paper trimmer when you start to cut (when the 8 1/2" side is at the top of the trimmer).  Then you still do it the same way as in the video.  When the 5 1/2" side is on the top of the trimmer, make sure to flip your paper over before cutting, so now your DSP should be facing up.  If this just doesn't make any sense at all let me know and I can do another video on that, lol:)

The item that I am going to be showcasing today is the Birthday Blossoms stamp set.  New from the Annual Catalog and AMAZING!!!

Don't forget, that if you sign up now through June 30th to become a demonstrator, you will get your choice of 2 stamp sets FREE from the new catalog. I would LOVE to have you on my team.  Click HERE to see how to join!!

Fancy Fold Corner Card

Well hello everyone!! Oh my goodness... so yesterday I posted to my blog, oooing and ahing about the new catalog and all the wonderful stuff that you can order... just now as I was going to post today's share I noticed that I didn't hit "Publish" hahahahaha, oh boy!!! Yes, it was that kind of day yesterday.  My Monday just carried right on over to my Tuesday.  I will have the card that I "posted" yesterday, lol at the bottom of today's share.  Oh boy!!

So, with that being said, are you all loving the new product? My amazing UPS man came today and when I saw that nice wonderful gleaming brown box on my porch I could barley contain myself.  I ran right inside and started playing.  Today's share is a card that I made using some of the new product.  It is also a card fold that has been making it's way around Youtube.  I am hoping to have a video on this in the next couple of weeks.  I have a couple of videos lined up but this one may sneak its way in there.

The card measures average side of 5 1/2" x 11" scored at 4 1/4".  The products that I used today are the Tin of Cards stamp set, Everyday Chic DSP, and Metallic Foil Doilies.    The item that I am showcasing today is... ALL 3 PRODUCTS, LOL.

Also, I just wanted to mention that if you sign up now through June 30th to become a demonstrator, you will get your choice of 2 free stamp sets FREE from the new catalog. I would LOVE to have you on my team.  Click HERE to see how to join!!

Now here is a quick glimpse of the card that was supposed to be on my blog yesterday, lol... oops.  That dang last button.  Anywhoo... that is all for today friends.

Until next time my friends...
