Fork Bow Video

Hi everyone.  Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today' Friday Video. This video was meant to be last weeks Friday Video but it never got posted:(  So today is the day.

Now, if you follow my blog/videos on a regular basis you know that bows and myself don't really get along.  I can't ever seem to tie them right or they never come out looking like I want them... it's a mess!  Well, I saw this fork bow trick a long time and to be honest didn't really think that it work, so.... I didn't try it.  Well, I have been seeing a lot more of these videos lately so I thought that I would buckle down and give it a try.  Guess what... THEY WEREN'T LYING!!!!  They are so easy to make with a fork.  Who knew?!?!?!?  Look at a closeup of one of the bows I made using a kitchen utensil...

I love that you can use different size forks too to get different size bows.  I have been looking around the house to see what else I could possible use, I'm forever addicted:)

Let's see how to make these awesome Fork Bows!!!

For You - Wildflower Meadow

Hi all you crafty friends you!!! Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today's card share.  For today's card I got out some products that I haven't used in quite awhile, the Wildflower Meadow stamp set and then coordinating embossing Wildflowers Meadows folder.

These are two items that I used to use all the time when I first got them, but you know how it is... you get new goodies and then it seems that your older goodies get put on the back burner:(  I used my image and embossed it with my White Embossing Powder and Heat Tool.  I wanted it to be "shiny" but not super shiny if that makes any sense:)

I am going to be showcasing two items today.  The stamp set that i used and the embossing folder.  2 items that are oldie's but goodies!!!

Hi everyone!! Super, super quick post today.  Just wanted to share with you this card that I made using the Four Feathers stamp set and coordinating dies.  This is a card that you could absolutely use as a masculine card.

My card uses Early Espresso for the base and then I used the Oval Framelits with Whisper White and Coastal Cabana.

Hope you all enjoyed today's super quick post:)

Honey's Valentine

Hi stampers!!! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and Valentine's Day.  For today's share I thought I would show you the card that I made for my honey.

I wanted the card to be simple but still some glitter (even though he hates glitter, lol.  It just wouldn't be a Valentine card without glitter)  I used Basic Black for the base of my card and it is cut at 4 1/4" x 11" and then scored at 5 1/2".  I know that Black really isn't a "love" color haha but I still wanted it to be somewhat masculine:)

But there is a bit more to this card than what there appears to be...

There is actually a window sheet in the front of the card and the red heart that you see is in the inside:)  LOVE IT!!!

SO CUTE!!!!  He thought it was pretty nifty too:)  The item that I am showcasing today is the Heart framelits and the Big Shot.  I have been using the Big Shot A LOT lately!!

I wanted to show you too what the hubby got me for Valentine's Day. I just thought it was adorable

HAHAHAHA, I just thought it was so sweet!!!

Valentine Nugget Holder Video

Hello stampers!! Happy Monday to you and Happy Friday Video Day!!! Today's video is of a last minute Valentine's Day holder.  These would be super cute for a child's Valentine's Day party or your own little party.  Or just a cute little pillow gift for the one that you love.

These holders are really easy to make and you can make a bunch of them in a short amount of time.  Especially if you cut all your pieces first and then assemble them.

For today's project I used the Real Red card stock and then the Work of Art stamp set to create my own homemade DSP. I love making my own DSP.  The other thing that I love about this little holder is that you can turn it around and have the nugget holder on either side.  Let's take a look at the video hey???

Awesome huh?  The item that I am going to be showcasing today is going to be the Hearts a Flutter Framelits that you can use with your Big Shot machine.

Washi Tape Backgroud - Pinterest Inspired

Hi everyone!! A quick post for you today of a card that I made after seeing one similar on Pinterest.  The part of the card that i really like that I saw on Pinterest was the background.. it was something similar to this... but used the DSP that is in the Stacked with Love DSP Paper Pack that is in the Occasions Mini right now.  Well, this pack I do not have yet (it is on it's way to my house as we speak, lol) but I wanted to make this card, so... I made my own background.

I took my 1/2" Circle Punch and punched out pieces of Whisper White and then pieces of the Birthday Bash Designer Washi Sheets in the Burmuda Bay... PERFECT!!! I just stacked the circles on top of each other, alternating which one goes on top and bam!!! Homemade background:)

I then took the Chalkboard paper with my image from the Amazing Birthday set, White StazOn and that is what my greeting is:)  Pretty simple.  The item that I am going to be showcasing today are the washi sheets. These are sheets of the washi tape just in... well larger sheets HAHAHAHA:)

My Friend

Hi all! Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today's card share.  Today's share is a card that was made for a friend of mine, just because:)

My card is average size of 4 1/4" x 11" and then scored at 5 1/2" and is using the Basic Black card stock.  I then took a piece of Typeset Specialty Paper.  This is a paper that is thinner than our normal DSP.  It really is a great paper! I LOVE IT!!!  This is cut at 4" x 5 1/4".

I then took my Hexagon punch and my Six-Sided Sampler stamp set and stamped a few images, punched just a few plain punches in the Real Red card stock and Basic Black.  Then staggered them the way I wanted them.  Pretty Simple:)

The item that I am showcasing today  is the stamp set and coordinating punch that i used.

Thanks for stopping by today friends.  Until next time...

Simple Masculine Valentine

Stampers!! HELLO!!! Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today's simple masculine Valentines Day card.  Valentines for me is always the hardest holiday card to come up with... with my hubby, i don't want to make anything that is too "girly" with lots of pinks and reds... you know the typical Valentines Day colors.  So i find myself always heading towards black and reds.  Which are two colors that I think go really well together.  But like they say, everything goes with Black right???

The base of my card is using the Basic Black and is cut at average size of 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2".  I then cut an additional piece of Basic Black cut at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and then ran that through my Big Shot using the Polka Dot Textured Embossing Folder.  I then took a piece of the Back to Black DSP and cut a heart out of it using the Hearts Framelits and backed the cut out image with the Cherry Cobbler Glitter Paper.

The item that I am showcasing today is going to be the Polka Dot Textured Embossing Folder and the Big Shot.

So that is all for today my friends.  Thanks for stopping by today and until next time...

Pocket Pouch Card Video

Helloooooo stampers!!! YAY!! It's Friday Video day and that also means that it is the last work day and we are on to the fun activities of the weekend:)  This weekend is filled with crafting with my wonderful mama and then a bowling birthday party for one of Emma's little friends on Saturday! And then a relaxing Sunday with my two loves!  What more could you ask for right?

Today's share is of a little Pocket Pouch card.  It is the average size of a normal card, 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" but doesn't open.  It has a pouch in the front where your little message card... or perhaps a gift card holder... (light bulb, lol) pulls out.

Here is today's video share:)

I love this card!!  Here is a closer look at the card that we made in the video today:)

The item that I am showcasing today is the AWESOME paper that I showed you in the video, Irresistibly Yours.  This paper is absolutely amazing and I just can't get enough of it!! Oh my gosh!!!  Right now it is an item that is in the Sale-A-Bration catalog.  So you can get it for free if you place an order of $50 (before s/h and tax)

February Thank You Notes

Hi stampers.  Today I thought I would share with you my February thank you notes for my on-line orders.  Now here in the mitten state we have a TON of snow on the ground so I used this set because it made me think of Spring.. something that can't get here soon enough.  When we can open up the windows, smell the fabulous smell of fresh flowers and freshly cut grass!! Oh my goodness I can't wait!!!  Anyway, I also chose this set because I thought, that even though it is birdies and Spring like... the little bird is carrying a heart... kind of like he is delivering a Valentine:)

Here is a closer look at the front of the Thank You cards.  They measure 3" x 6" and then scored at 3".  Perfect size for a little Thank You note:)  The stamp set that I used today is called For the Birds:

Power of Two

Hi all!! Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today's card share.  Today's share is of a card that i used the Four Feathers stamp set along with the matching Feather Framelits.  I just received these two items but have been unable to put them down.  They are fabulous.  I used the greeting from the set Yippie Skippie.  Another GREAT set.

The base of my card is measured at average size of 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2" and is using the Lost Lagoon card stock.  I love this color.  It is a blue/green.  I used my Dictionary background stamp on a piece of Very Vanilla cut at 4" x 5 1/4" and then matted that with a piece of Basic Black cut at 3 3/8" x 4 5/8" to give it just the tiniest boarder.  I then took another piece of Lost Lagoon cut at 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" and ran it through my Big Shot using the Chevron Embossing Folder.

I thought that this would be a cute anniversary card.  Not using the same ol' lovey dovey stamps, lol:)  The two items that I am showcasing today are the Four Feathers stamp set and coordinating framelits.

Don't forget, I am going to be putting together a new group, it is going to be called Stampin' Diva's! The way it is going to work is that if I can get at least people into the group then every person that is in the group would need to place a $25 order per month and then every month someone would be the "hostess" for that month. This way everyone will have an opportunity to receive the hostess benefits!  The hostess receives $25 of free product with a party order of $150.  The amount of free product would be determined by the amount of the party.  But this way everyone would at least be guaranteed $25 worth of free stuff when it was their month!! All other details (i.e. ordering dates, order of hostesses) will be discussed after we receive the amount of people that are in the club. Think that you, or someone you know may know, is interested?  AWESOME!!! Please leave me a comment, or message me at slincoln0203@yahoo.com.  I hope that we can get a nice group going and everyone can enjoy the wonderful items and benefits that SU! has to offer.
