Picture Frame Card Video

Hi all!!! Happy Friday Video day here at Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'!  Today's Friday Video is a project that I have been making like nobody's business.  They are sooo much fun to make and can really be used for any occasion and be decorated in so many ways.  It is a Picture Frame Card.  It can fit an average size 4" x 6" photo inside its frame or you can decorate it like I have.

And if that isn't enough to make it fabulous, it still opens like a regular card so that you can out your message on the inside.  Here is another one that I made using lots of "bling" paper.  Dazzling Diamonds Glitter paper as well as Red Glitter Paper.  Let's not wait any longer.  Lets take a look at the video for today!! YAY!!!

Love it!! Oh my goodness!!!  So the product that I am showcasing today is the Stampin' Trimmer.  It is the product that was used most in today's video and sometimes something like the Stampin' Trimmer really gets looked over.  The Stampin' Up! paper trimmer is really an amazing product!!!

So that is the video for today my friends!!! Don't forget to check out the......

Wetlands Watercolor Birthday

Hi stampers!!! Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'!!!  Today (Tuesday 1/27) is my daddy's birthday!! YAY!!!! This is the Birthday card that I made for him.  I will be showing you the project that I made for him for his birthday.  Well not the exact one but one similar to it.  I have been making them like crazy... literally :)

With today's card I knew that I wanted to use the Wetlands stamp set.  It is a wonderful masculine set!! I also knew that I wanted to use Watercolor Paper.  A product that I don't use all that often but when I do I remember how much fun it is:)  I started with stamping my images where I wanted them in StazOn Black Ink (including the goose) and then i just kind of went crazy with my colors for the water and sky which were Soft Sky and Marina Mist.  I blended some of the Marina Mist ink into the water and then accented it with just a light brushing of Island Indigo.  Around the... oh no I forgot what they are called, lol... ummm I'm going to call them... tall grasses haha (good enough) I took a tad bit of Old Olive and then it made the water along those grasses look a little bit more murky.

For my sun area I used Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie and just brushed it all sorts of direction.  I wanted the color of the sun but not really the shape.  If that makes any sense at all:)  For my goose I stamped the image again on some Brown Sugar card stock and then cut him out.

The product that I am showcasing today is of course... the Wetlands stamp set!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today friends.  Don't forget to check out the:

Awesomeness!!!!!

Hi Stampers!!!! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!!  Today's card share is of a card that uses one of my favorite greetings. I love any greeting that has the word "Awesomeness" in it!!!  The set is called Flower Patch and it is also where the images of the flowers came from.  I used just one set today:)

The base of my card is using the Basic Gray card stock and it is cut average size of 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2".  I used the Best Year Ever DSP that is available right now in the Sale-A-Bration catalog! You can get this product for free if you place an order of $50 or more before s/h and tax.  I cut the pieces of my DSP and my Whisper White a little smaller so that my Basic Gray would show through all around them.

The colors that i used for my flowers were Coastal Cabana and Crisp Cantaloupe.  I didn't want all my flowers to be so vibrant so I stamped off for some and then just normal for others.  Gives it a different look:)  I then took my Whisper White Twine and tied a little bow at the top.  The item that I am showcasing today is going to be the Flower Patch set.  This set also comes in a bundle where you can get the coordinating framelits.  When you purchase it like this you receive 15% off. "AWESOME"!!!

Well all, thank you so much for stopping by today!! Don't forget before you leave to check out:

Fun Fold Thank You Video

Hi there stampers!!! Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today's Friday Video!!  Today's video is showing you how I made these fun fold Thank You notes. I thought this card would be perfect for my greeting since it is a large greeting!!  I love the set that this large greeting comes in called Big On You.  It has 4 awesome LARGE greetings:)

This card opens in a fun way:

Oh I love it!!  Let's take a look at the video so you can make some too:)

Pretty neat huh?  This is a great, full sized card that that is pretty quick and easy to make if you have to make more than one... like for Thank You notes:)  I wanted to mention too that on the right side of my website you may notice that I added a new link.  If you click on the Thank You card that I made it will take you to all of the Photopolymer stamps that are available through SU!.  Make sure you take a look over there, there are stamps that are available that are not in any of the catalogs!  Every time a photopolymer set is released it going into that link, so you will never miss a set!!

Well that is going to be all for today my friends.  Don't forget to take a look at:

Stencil Sponged Background

Hi everyone! Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'!  Today's share is super simple and super quick:) This is another birthday card that i made for the month of January and my clan of birthday's that my family celebrates.

My card measures average size of 4 1/4" x 11" and then scored at 5 1/2" and is using the Whisper White.  I then took another piece of Whisper White and cut it 1/4" smaller all the way around, therefore 4" x 5 1/4".  I took a piece of computer paper and cut an oval shape using my Oval Framelits and then a sponge and some Soft Sky and Marina Mist ink and sponged inside the oval, when i lifted up the computer paper my inked oval was on the piece of Whisper White.  Pretty simple but oh so pretty!!

I then used the stamp set Lovely As A Tree and used the pine and off centered it and dropped it down so it wasn't even with the colored oval.  LOVE IT!  The Lovely As A Tree set is my all time favorite set and has been in the SU! Annual Catalog for ever!! It's an oldie but for sure a goodie!!

Well thanks for stopping by today!

Celebrate.... Everything

Hi all!  Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'!  Today is a quick share of a card that i made using the Beautiful Butterfly die that was made by Stampin' Up!.  Unfortunately it is retired:(  However I am sure that you can find it from E-Bay or some place like that;)

I used a Doily and sponged it with my Sponge Dauber with a little bit of Crumb Cake ink just so that it stuck out a little bit from the DSP since there is a lot of White in it.  The DSP is one of my favs and is called Lullaby.  It's adorable and has so many cute/pretty patterns in it.

I wanted my butterfly to really be the vocal point (hard not to with it being so large, lol) but i decided to back it with a piece of Basic Black card stock and then "puff" up the wings for more of a 3D look

So even though it is retired, i wanted to show you a closer look at the Beautiful Butterfly die.  It is one of my favorites and I was super sad when SU! retired it:(

Thank so much for stopping by today.  Don't forget to check out the

Updated Craft Space... Again!! ;)

Hello Friends!!  So, when my family and I moved in and we created my new craft space I was super excited and anxious to get my things out and get busy crafting since I hadn't been able to in awhile.  Well, with that being said i situated things and didn't really think it through, lol.  It wasn't really feeling like "my space".  I don't know why.. i just wasn't as comfy and cozy like i was in my space at our hold home.  With that being said, I had to do some re-arranging:)  If you follow my blog then you know that changing my space is nothing new with me.  As my hobby grows, so does the items in my room, lol, which means re-arranging.  So, this weekend that is what the hubby and I did on Saturday... made me cozy again in my space.  I did a video of my space when we first moved in, you can view that here.  Then, if you would like to see my craft room(s) from throughout our houses you can click on the "My Craft Space" tab at the top of my page.

Ok, so today i wanted to share with you a few photos of my new updated space.  There isn't a TON of changes but they were big changes to me, lol.

Ok so this is what you see when you are standing in the door to my room.  The first thing that you may notice is that my table is moved and it is shorter.  The place where it was before had my back towards the door and that was driving my CRAZY!!!  So I am now with my side to the door and i am directly looking out the window! I love it!!!  I did have my table where i was standing at it 99% of the time... well that was getting old so we lowered it where now i can sit at it.  Much, much better!!!!

So this is my desk area now.  I was very surprised but with everything that we moved around we didn't have to move anything that was on the walls.  I was very shocked... it just all worked out:)  See, must of been a sign it was supposed to be like this.  I have everything that i use on a regular basis right at my finger tips and now that my desk is resting on my cubes (all my cubes were across the room in my "cube wall") I can put all the drawers and cubbys to better use.  Plus, there is enough room that i can just swing my chair around and get to what i need:)

Here is looking at my desk area straight on:) LOVE IT!!!

Right in front of my desk of course is my daughters area. She loves to craft almost as much of me:)  We spend a lot of our time in here just being together and being creative.

These large shelves is what my desk was originally sitting on to make it tall.  Now that my cube wall is gone this fit there perfectly along with my new 12" x 12" paper sorter.  The other shelf that was used to make my desk tall is still in it's original place, behind my sitting area.  It gave me tons of storage so that i was able to have barely nothing on my desk... until i start creating, but made me feel not so cluttered.

So that is my little mini tour of the few changes that i made to my space.  The rest of the room stayed the same:)  Thanks so much for taking a minute and visiting my blog:)  Until next time...

Distress Ink Background Video

Well hello there.  Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'.  So, I bet you are wondering why you are seeing a bunch of Christmas tags when Christmas is over.  Well, I was planning on posting this video before Christmas and share these tags with you however i didn't get to it:( So, since today here in the mitten it was -1 (last that I checked my coldness gage, that is what i am calling it, lol) it feels more like Christmas today then it was on December 25th!

On some of the tags that you see above i used Distress Inks to make my backgrounds.  I love this technique!!  It's so simple and it NEVER comes out the same way.  Quick video so lets get to it!

Well that's all for today friends!! Thanks for stopping by and until next time...

Clean Very Kind

Hello stampers! Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'.  Are you all enjoying the new Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration Catalog?  Aren't they amazing!!!  Don't forget, now until January 14th, if you place an on-line order with me I will send you a catalog of each for free:)

Today's share is of a simple/clean card using three of the new products from the Occasions Catalog.  The first is the greeting of the card called Big On You! This set is awesome and it really is BIG! Which I love.  Sometime i just want a simple card but can't find a greeting that looks "right". This one your greeting can really be the vocal point of your card and then you can accent with a cute embellishment... like my flower.  But we will get to that in a minute:)  Here is a closer look at the greeting and all the other wonderful stamps that come in that set:

The flower that i used is from the set called Petal Potpourri.  This set also has a coordinating punch.  If you purchase the stamp set and the punch together you will get a discount and save 15%.  AMAZING!!!

To color in my flower i used a few of my Copic markers and then just continued to blend until I got the desired look that i was after.  I am not really "good" with Copic markers, I am still learning but i was really happy on how this flower turned out:)  Then to add a little boarder i just took my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker and free handed some lines on all four of the sides.  Easy Peesy!!!

The third item that i used is the new Chalk Ink, it's called Rose Coral! This ink is fabulous!  It is not only super pretty but it stays wet for longer then some inks, so you have time to put powder on it and you can heat set it:)  LOVE IT!!!

Well that is the share that I have for you today. I really wanted to fill you with numerous products from the new Occasions Catalog!!  Don't forget that the Occasions Catalog ends June 2, 2015 and the Sale-A-Bration ends March 31, 2015. Thanks so much for stopping by today!!! Until next time...

Glitter Background

Hi all.  Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today quick card share.  Today's card is using a technique where you use nothing but GLITTER for the background!!! I LOVE glitter and loved that this WOW glitter that I got from Simon Says Stamp is embossing glitter... therefore it doesn't come off everywhere when you touch it because you heat set it! OMGoodness!!!!

Excuse my fingers in the above picture but i wanted to make sure that i got a good "lean" on the picture so that you could see the light just gleam off of it and all the GLITTER!!!!  Here is a closer look at the WOW Embossing Glitters that i used on today's card:

The colors are called Spring Breeze and Raspberry Coulis.  They work just like regular embossing powder... you use your VersaMark Ink, sprinkle the embossing powder where you want it (that is what i did on this card, just randomly pouring it where i wanted) and then you heat set it with your Heat Tool.

So that is all for today friends.  Thanks for stopping by and until next time...
