Joyful Christmas

Hi all.  Super, super quick post today of a card that I made using the Joyful Christmas stamp set.  I have been having computer issues the last few days... I tell you what... I have the worst luck ever with computers... well technology anything really.  This time, my wireless router took a dump... so after buying a new one... having an issue with hooking it up... I am finally up and running again.  I tell you what, even though I am not that old, I really like (miss) the days of just a piece of paper and a No.2 pencil.  But sadly, if I didn't have my smart phone, my wireless connection and laptop I would be lost lol.

I decided on this card to do a little layering on my flower using the White Vellum card stock as my top layer.  I think it gives it a nice little "pop".

Well, that is it for today.  Hope you all enjoyed and until next time...

Surprise Easel

Hello stampers!!! I hope you all had a nice weekend!!!

Today's share is a super cute Christmas card which has a super cool surprise inside!! I originally saw this idea on SplitCoast Stampers and had to try and figure out on how to create it.  This is what I came up with.

This card closes like a normal Gate Fold Card.  I did a video on how to make these kinds of cards awhile ago.  To view that click HERE.  What makes this card so fun? .....

When you open it up it is also an easel card.  How do you make a Gate Fold card you ask?  Well, you are in luck I did a tutorial on that kind of card as well!!! Click HERE. That link will also allow you to head on over to a video tutorial that I did on an easel card where I used the Label Framelits.  Lot's of back post that you can visit today huh?

This easel is using an average size card of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".  Now, the recipient not only gets to see all the wonderful decorating that you do on the outside but as well as the inside, and they can chose which they want to showcase...  or they can alternate.... so many options!!!  Today I used the stamp set Color Me Christmas which is available right now in the HOLIDAY MINII know I have said it before but I love this set, because I love to color and this set... well that is what it is made for.  The images are larger and don't have tons of little details that you have to color around so this set is awesome if you like to color as well.  Here is a closer look at the entire set:

Also, I wanted to remind you that....

The awesome sale where you can get products up to 50% off is still going strong.  Click on the picture above to go to the direct link right from my SU! Online Store!!

Well that is it for today.  Hope you enjoyed and you come back to visit again.  Until then...

Top Note Gift Card Holder Video

Happy day stampers and welcome back to another Friday Video day here at Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'.

So if you follow my blog regularly you know that I am totally obsessed with gift card holders.  I just think that they are so great and fun to make.  Some say that gift cards for the holidays are too impersonal... but I say... I would rather get them something like a gift card because then I know that the recipient is going to get something that they really like.  Rather than me getting them something that isn't really their style or their size... then I have then pushed them into the unpleasant experience of the dreaded "return line" and who wants to do that to a friend or loved one right?  So, I like to think that by sprucing up the holder maybe they won't think it is so "blah".

Plus, today is a little bit of a special day for me... I added a new "greeting" to my Friday Video's and this is the first time I am showcasing it.  I would love to get your feedback as to what you think.  Be honest... I can take it.  So, with that being said.....

Oh I just love these little holders, and aren't they fairly simple to make?  You could for sure make a batch of them in no time:)

I really like the way that the Blue one, which I used the Winter Frost DSP turned out.  Blue and Christmas just always work really well for me.  Reminds me of chilli nights with the fireplace going and snow:)

This is a glimpse of the back of the card.  I used the same greeting for both of my projects today, the Sassy Salutations set.  LOVE that set soooo much.  The 2 items that I want to showcase today are the Top Note Die and the Big Shot.

So I hoped you enjoyed today's share and video tutorial.  Until next time.,,

Christmas Banners

Good day stampers!!! Welcome!!!

The card that I am sharing today is another simple Christmas card using the designer series paper pack Seasons of Style which is available right now in the Holiday Mini.  There is still plenty of time to order all the wonderful items in this great catalog to help express your holiday creativity!!!!

My card measures average size of 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4".  I wanted to keep my card quite simple so I just added a strip of DSP across the middle (which measures 1" x 5 1/2") and then placed my banners underneath it.  How did I make my banners you ask?  Well, I cut strips 1" wide by about 3" long, then I took my Hexagon Punch and sniped the ends in various positions so that it would make some banners longer/shorter than others. I only placed adhesive on the top of them so that I could "flip" them up at the bottom to give them a different look.

For my sentiment I went with one of my favorites, Sassy Salutations. Have I mentioned what I great set this is?  Oh, I am sure that I have.  Let's take a closer look at the entire set as well as the whole set of the Season of Style DSP:

Don't forget all about the great deal that SU! is having right now where you can get selected products for up to 50% off!!! OMGoodness!!!!  Click HERE to view the entire flyer and see all the great products that are up for grabs.

Santa Punch Art Easel

Hello stampers!!! Today's share is a super duper cute card using TONS of punches!!!  Eleven different one to be exact!!!! Oh my gosh, I can't explain how much fun this card was to make!!!!!

I can't take credit for this card though.  Although I wish I would of thought of such a cute idea.  I saw this card and CASED this card from Helen at H2Designs.  Here is a link to her website www.H2Designs.blogspot.com.  But wait... there is more.... this card is also...

It's an easel card!! OMGoodness!!! It just gets better and better.  I did change the card around a bit... I never like to CASE something exactly.  The original card had Santa's arms going straight out and there were presents on the "floor" part of the card.  I chose to have Santa's arms on his belly, as if he was holding his belly as it jiggled like a bowl full of jelly, lol.  And I decided to keep the floor plain because I didn't want anything to take away from the huge vocal point of the card.  I didn't want your eyes distracted.

This card is also a treat holder.  Again, just keeps getting better right? Oh I LOVE it.  This is the card that I plan on giving my daughter for Christmas so I will be filling it with M&M's.  The item that I want to showcase today is the Circle Treat Cup Holders.  These are great for soooo many things.  You can fill them with anything to help decorate your card.  Candy or pretty much that you want to "shake" and help add something to your card.  Let's take a closer look:

Well that is today's share friends.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you visit again soon.  Until then...

Dryer Sheet Christmas Card

Hello stampers!!! Well, it is a cold, windy nasty day here in the mitten state.  I actually didn't think I was going to be able to post today's post.  We had some heavy, heavy storms today which knocked out our internet so I thought it was going to have to wait, but luckly it came back on a little bit ago.  So...... let's get to it then!!!

Today's share is of a Christmas card that I used the Dryer Sheet technique to.  Now, if you are unfamiliar with this technique, let me break it down for you a bit.  Basically, it is just what it sounds like.  You take a used dryer sheet, stamper your image on your card stock, then you would place Stampin' Up!'s Glue Stick and place it all over your card stock that has your image in it, then place your dryer sheet on the glue.  Here is a tip that I have found.  I like to have the dryer sheet that I am using used in the dryer a couple of times.  I find that the more it is used, the thinner that it is... meaning that it doesn't have all of the fibers still in it compared to a new or gently used dryer sheet.

Once I had the base of my card done which I used the Whisper White card stock which measures average size of 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4 and then I placed Midnight Muse atop of that and than another piece of Whisper White which is where I placed my image.  Which is an amazing pine tree that comes from the set Lovely As A Tree.

I don't think that my camera picked up really well, but to add some finishing touches to my card I sprinkled some Dazzling Details atop my dryer sheet right after I placed it over my image.  I did this immediately because then the glue is still wet and is sort of seeping through the dryer sheet.

Well that is all for today folks.  Thanks for visiting my site today and I hope you stop back by again soon.  Until then...

Double Pouch Bag Video

Hello stampers.  Happy video day!!!!!!!!

Today's Friday Video is of the Double Pouch Bag that I posted earlier this week on Monday.  You can view that post HERE.  These bags.... or pouches if you would rather call them is a great gift or project for any occasion.

Each pouch can hold, if there aren't really embellishments on them, about 2-3 cards which measure 4" x 4".  If you wanted to add envelopes with your cards you could get about 1 card and 1 envelope in each pouch.

Here is an example of what a card that placed inside my pouch looks like.  I used Old Olive for my base (measured at 4" x 8", scored at 4".)  I then topped it with a piece of Whisper White (cut at 3 3/4" x 3 3/4").  I used the stamp set Special Season, which is available in the Holiday Mini right now.  I love the simplicity of the card.

Now, let's go ahead and take a look at how to do this super cute Double Pouch Bag:

LOVE IT!!!  Well all, that is it for today! I hope you enjoyed today's Friday Video and were inspired and learned something new.  Until next time...

Napkin DSP

Hello stampers.  Happy Thursday.  So sorry that there wasn't a post yesterday :(  But, I am back today and ready to go!!!

Today's card is actually a technique that I learned from my up-line France Martin.  She actually did a video too on how you can make one too.  You can view her entire post and video HERE.

When searching my local store for some napkins, i couldn't find any different than the ones that Frenchie used in her video/cards as well.  I normally don't like to CASE something the exact same way, but what was a girl to do?  So, I used the same one but changed my outline up a bit.  For the top share I decided to use the whole card back and napkin and have that be it.  I sponged the edges with some Baked Brown Sugar ink to give it more dept and that is it.  For  the second card, I cut my napkin out with my Big Shot and Deco Label Framelits and then put it atop a tore background made of Early Espresso and Wild Wasabi.  Plus I added a little something to my second card...

I don't know if you can really see it in the picture but I covered the entire napkin image with Crystal Effects, let it dry and it gave it a very nice "glass" effect which I think added a lot to my card.  I LOVE IT!!!

Well, that is all for today folks.  Hope you enjoyed and until next time...

Double Pouch Bag

Hello stampers.  I hope you all had a nice weekend.

Today's share is a sneak peek of what my Friday Video is going to be of... the Double Pouch Bag.  This super cute pouch can hold about 2-3 cards that measure 4" x 4" in each pouch.  With Christmas coming up this is a great little gift to send to those on your card list.  Then, they will have a few cards to send to those on their "list".

To help decorate my Double Pouch Bag i used the Big Bowz Die that is available in the Holiday Mini which you can view HERE.  This die is a great addition to any Big Shot die collection.  I am by no means a good bow makers, they always come out different and weird looking... i am still working on mastering that craft, lol.  However, with this die, i can make perfect bows every time!!!

Well that is it for today!! Until next time...

File Folder Card Video

Hello stampers.  Today's Friday Video share  is of a project that i posted earlier this week and thought i would share a video of how i made them.  The video actually shows also... one other way that you can make a File Folder Cards.  Here are a few other "views" of the different cards that are showcased in my video tutorial:

Well let's not wait any longer.  Let's take a look at this weeks video.

Don't you just love them?!?!?!?  I love them!!! I just love the envelope punch board sooo much.  If you're not familiar with it, over in the right column of my website here, there is a picture of the Envelope Punch Board.  Click on the picture and it will take you to all the details.

Well that is all for today friends.  Until next time...

Lovely As A Tree with Sparkle

Hello stampers, Happy Hump Day!!!

Today's share is a simple Christmas card using one of my all time favorite sets, which i am sure i have shared with you before, the Lovely As A Tree stamp set.  This tree is probably the most versatile set SU! has, at least that is my opinion, lol.

I used my Oval Framelits and cut out the center of my card which is in the Night of Navy Card Stock.  My card measures average size of 4 1/4" x 11" and then scored at 5 1/2".  I chose to have my card open the "long" way even when it was scored the way where i only open it up and down, lol if that makes any sense.  Anywoo, once my oval was cut out i put I placed a piece of Whisper White and stamped my image in the middle of the oval.  Here is a closer look at the entire Lovely As A Tree stamp set:

To top off my card, i of course added some Dazzling Details. A Christmas card just ins't complete without those, lol!!

Well, that is all today my friends.  Hope you enjoyed.  Until next time...
