Double Embossing

Hi all!  Thanks for joining me today!

Today's share is of a card that I made a little bit ago for a friends birthday and I forgot to post it.  So, i thought i would share it with you today.  This card uses the Double Embossing technique.  I am hoping to get a video done so i can share it with you this Friday (fingers crossed, lol).

The items that i used on today's share are all by Stampin' Up!.  The base of my card is in Basic Black and measure average size of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and then topped that with a piece of Strawberry Slush cut at 4" x 5 1/4".  I then used my Banner framlits and the 2013-2015 In Color Paper Pack for my background piece!

To add a little something on the side i used the Star Boarder Punch. I love this punch!!!!  For my greeting i used Amazing Birthday and then did my Double Embossing.  I chose to use Whisper White and Wild Wasabi Embossing Powder (Wild Wasabi is now retired).  I love the colors of Green and White together (and not just because I am a HUGE Michigan State fan, lol)

To finish it off i used my Mini Banner punch and added those along the side.  I really like how the Mini Banner and the Star punch accent each other on this card.

The items that i am showcasing today are the Whisper White, Embossing Powder and the Heat Tool:

Before you take off, don't forget to check out the new Weekly Deals that were announced today and the Clearance Rack.  Thanks again for swinging by today!! Until next time...

Let is Snow!!!

Hi there my crafty friends! Thank you for stopping by Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' today!!!

Here in the mitten state today we have been getting pounded with the snow (which i am LOVING) so i thought i would post another Christmas card today that features a snowman ...since you make them with snow lol.

The stamp set that i used today is Build a Snowman by Simon Says Stamp.  This set is awesome!!! It comes with a matching die set which has a die for each stamp  that is in the set!! It's amazing!!!

For my card i used a piece of Whisper White by Stampin' Up! and then used a piece of DSP that came from the Snow Day Collection Kit by Lawn Fawn.  This kit comes with some great DSP, stickers and a few embellishments. I just thought that the paper was adorable and knew it needed to be part of my collection.

One of my favorite new products is the Wink of Stella pens.  This is a pen where you can wipe on either a clear gloss, which is what i used on this cute little fellows scarf, or you can get a variety of colors.

It just gives it that nice little shimmery touch!! All about the glitter and shimmer:)

Well, thanks again so much for stopping by!! Until next time friends...

Pan Pastel Video

Hi all! Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today's Friday Video.

Today's video is showing off one of my new FAVORITE products that i have found called Pan Pastel.  OMGoodness these are amazing!! They are so wonderful i just can't say enough good things about them.

The pictures really don't do it justice.  There is such a beautiful that the pastels show off.  I tried to show it off in the video too but you can't really see it.  The background stamp that i used is another one of my new goodies that is called Fluff, and it is made by Impression Obsession.  It reminds me of show whirling around.  Which is what happened to us today in the mitten... we got some snow:)  I LOVE IT!!!!

I tried to take a picture from a different angle to try and pick up some of the shimmer but the lighting and camera was just not working with me:(  So you will just have to trust me that it is shimmery, lol;)

Pretty neat huh?  I love this technique.  So many people, including myself, think that Versamark can only be used for embossing... i love learning a new way to use it:)

Real quick before i head out don't forget to check out the Weekly Deals and the Clearance Rack from Stampin' Up!  There are some great products that are offered.  Hurry though, the weekly deals are only good until Tuesday then they will be announcing new items!!

Thanks for stopping by friends!! Until next time...

Emma is 3!!!!

Hi there friends!! Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'!!  Today's post is of the birthday card that I made for my little Bean (that is my nickname for our daughter, lol).  Today (November 12th) is her 3rd birthday!! Oh my goodness, I can't believe that she is 3 already!! It seems like just yesterday we were welcoming her into the world.

Emma and I really like owls so I decided to use this cute set by Hero Arts called Little Hoot.  It has a coordinating die that you can get to make sure that your image(s) gets cut out perfectly.  I colored my little guys in with some Copic markers (I can't remember the number of the colors).  My card measures average size of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and is in Whisper White.  I used my Ranger Ink Applicator and my Faded Jeans Distress Ink to shade in my background color.  I love Distress Inks!!!

The inside of my card is using a sentiment that is also from the Little Hoot set... except the Happy Birthday... that is a single stamp that i have had for years!!

With that being said... I have been thinking long and hard about the direction that my website is or has been going... as well as my crafting in general for that matter.  I began crafting/scrapbooking forever ago, it was my hobby... my release.  Well, I have found that lately my "hobby" has been feeling more of a job.  Don't get me wrong, the amazing people that have turned their love for crafting into a business... i think that is wonderful and in ways I am jealous, however for me and being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator i find that i am limited to using only their products, which are WONDERFUL and I really enjoy crafting with them. But, there are so many other items out there that I love and enjoy using.  While getting creative with those items, I always want to share them with you all, but don't because I want to make sure that i showcase all the wonderful products that SU! has at that current moment.  Well, from now on, I am going to be showcasing my projects no matter what items they use.  Whether it be SU!, Hero Arts, Lawn Fawn, Bo Bunny... the list just goes on and on:)  When i first originally created my website I wasn't even a SU! demo yet.  I created it to just so my love for crafting and to hopefully give inspiration to others that also enjoy crafting... therefore that is going to be my focus from now on.  To get back to the roots of by website if you will:)  I am still going to be a SU! demo (however i am sure that there are a few that are not going to agree with what i am doing), but i have to do this for me while i can.  You are still going to be able to order from my Online store 24/7, just click on the link below every post or the shopping cart that is in the right hand column of my site.

Wow, that is a lot huh?  LOL:)  Before i head out today i wanted to share with you a couple of pics of my little Bean:)

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you stop again soon!!! Until next time all....

Circle Spinner Card Video

Hi everyone!  Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today's Friday Video!!

Today's card is a Circle Spinner card (at least that is what i am calling it, lol)  I have made a varity of cards using this cute little design.  The one that we are making in today's video is a card that is just a little some to send to someone that makes your world a little brighter.  Let's take a look at the video for today:

Foiled Christmas

Hi all!! Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'.  Today's share is a Christmas card that uses the Gold Foil sheets. I love the foil sheets! They come in Gold and in Silver!

I used the Wondrous Wreath stamp set and the coordinating framelits.  The "Noel" sentiment is also from that coordinating framelit set.  When you go to take it out of the framelit after you run it through your cutting machine, make sure to be gentle when taking it out.  It is quite thin and it takes some love to make sure it doesn't rip

The set that i am showcasing to is the Wondrous Wreath set.

Well thank you all for stopping by today! Until next time...
