Holiday Mini Launch!!!!

Hi there all! Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today's card share.  Today's card is using the new stamp set Seasonally Scattered.  I used this image on another post earlier this week. I just love this stamp and the entire set.  Guess what today is??? Yup, the release of the Holiday Catalog!!! IT GOES LIVE!!! So now i can show you the full description and share all the information about the new products!!! YAY!!!

This is a card that uses the Baby Wipe Technique. I thought that i did a video on this technique but i can't find it... so i am going to go with i was "planning" on doing one and then just plum forgot.  So, i have a little picture tutorial on how you too can get the look of the Baby Wipe Technique.

First what you need is a paper plate and then a regular baby wipe.  I personally like the ones that are a bit thicker, i think that they don't quite absorb the color quite as fast.  You think it would be the other way around, but this is just what i have found with my trial and error.

Next, you need to pick three colors of re-inkers. I have tried doing it with markers as well, and though you do get some of the color, it really doesn't work like the re-inkers do.  For today's project i used the Rose Red Re-Inker, So Saffron Re-Inker, and Wild Wasabi Re-Inker.

Next, take your first color, i always start with the darkest and put spots of color where you want.  Making sure not to clump them too close together.

Next, take your second color and do the same thing.

Then your third color and fill in the gaps.  With my lightest color being So Saffron you can't really tell unless you look right at the edges.

Then, take your image and place it right in the "blob" of color that you have created on your wipe.  Now, you do not have to just place it in the color one.  Move it around... get a really good coverage all over your image.

Then when you are done you get...

I love this technique because no matter how hard you try you will NEVER get the same color pattern.  You can use the same wipe over and over and you will always get a new look.  Another reason why i like the thicker wipes, they allow you to use it more times over than the regular ones i have found.

So the item that i am showcasing today is the Seasonally Scattered stamp set!! It's amazing!!!

Well all that is it for today!  Hope you enjoyed today's share and have fun looking at all the new goodies in the Holiday Catalog.  If you see something that you like i would love to become your on-line demonstrator!! Fall Thanks

Hi there all! Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today's card share.

Today's share is using the technique Emboss Resist.  This technique is quite simple but makes a big BOOM on your card. I love this technique!!  The stamp set that i used is another new one that is from the Holiday Mini catalog which is going live in just 3 MORE DAYS (August 28th) YAY!!!!  The set is called Seasonally Scattered and it is a 3 stamp set.

I chose to use fall colors for my sponging, picking Cherry Cobbler, So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, and Wild Wasabi. I sponged the edges with Chocolate Chip ink just to give it a little bit more pop and to stand out from the Soft Suede card stock a bit more.

The item that i am showcasing today are the Stampin' Sponges. They are amazing!!

Now what i do with my sponges is i cut them into quarters.  So i actually get 12 sponges per every pack of 3. Which is how they come.  Not bad for $3.50:)

Well, thanks so much for stopping by today.  Hope you enjoyed and until next time...
