Paper Bag Purse Video

Hello all.  It's Friday Video Time!!! YAY!!!!

Today's video tutorial is on this adorable Paper Bag Purse that i posted earlier this week! I can't express how much i love this little projects!!! I foresee me making them for tons of different occasions!!!!

Here are a few more pictures of all the different views of them before we get on to the video:

Aren't they adorable?!?!? Oh i love them.  Now, for the items that i used on the pictures above, click HERE to see my earlier post!!

Now let's take a look at how to make this shall we?  Ok, roll it!!!!

Missed the dimensions in the video?  No worries, let's go over them again!!  For your "covers" your Coaster Board is going to need to be cut at 5 1/4" x 3 1/2"... which also means that your DSP to cover your Coaster Board is going to need to be the same size.  For the inside of your "purse" you are going to need a piece of card stock cut at 5" x 6" and then scored at every 1/2".  Now remember, that you can make your purse larger by increasing the paper size (going from 6" to something larger.  You don't want to change the width of it... the 5" because then it will be too long for your purse) but still scoring every 1/2".  Your bags, if using the white bags like shown in the video need to be cut right above the flap.  For your handles i used approx. 8" of Taffeta Ribbon and then attach them with my Antique Brads.  For your insides (where you would write your greeting) the larger piece needs to be cut at 4 3/4" x 3" and then your top layer for that at 4 1/2" x 2 3/4"

Well, that is it for today all.  Hope you enjoyed my video share for today and until next time...

Upline Challenge

Hello all. Welcome to another share here at Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'!!

Today's share is my card for my up-line challenge.  My up-line, France Martin sends all that want to participate a few products and we have to come up with a project and then we mail those projects back to her and one, of all those that participated, get picked and we get all of the projects that were submitted.  I have not yet gotten all of the projects (boo hoo) but hopefully one of these days i will, lol!!!

This time we got sent some of the new Foil Paper, that is in the Holiday Mini right now.  This paper comes in Gold and Silver. This paper is so AWESOME!!!! I chose to use the Joyful Christmas stamp set and chose to stamp the poinsettia and cut it out into layers, highlighting the stamp as well as the paper.

My card measures average size of 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4".  My base card is Real Red card stock and then I topped it with a piece of Whisper White, after i ran it through my Big Shot and my Pretty Print Embossing Folder.  Another item that is in the Holiday Mini.  I didn't want my card to be too busy... i didn't want to distract your eye away from my flower, which would be hard anyway since it is huge, lol... but nevertheless i only added a piece of Real Red 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon.

Not familiar with the stamp set Joyful Christmas?  Well here is a closer look at the entire set!

I also wanted to showcase the Foil Sheets (Have i mentioned how awesome these are?!?!?!?!?)

Well, that's it for today all. I hope that you enjoyed today's share and until next time...

Paper Bag Purse

Hello stampers, welcome to another share here at Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'!!

Today's share is a sneak peek of.... you guessed it, what i will be showcasing on this week's Friday Video Tutorial.  This super cute paper bag purse also featuring SU!'s sorta new product (new this year) Coaster Board!!

This bag that i am showcasing today has 5 pockets in it and can hold 5 different "Thankful For" cards.  Or at least that is what mine are going to be holding.  The awesome thing about this project is that the pockets are made out of just regular ol' lunch paper sacks!!! I love when you can incorporate things that you have laying around the house into something fun and creative!!!

The DSP (Designer Series Paper) that i used for today's project is the Sweater Weather DSP. It is such a GREAT pack filled with awesome Fall colors!!!!  Here is a closer look at the entire paper pack:

Since this is a Sneak Peek i don't want to give all the dimensions away today... so you will just have to make sure and check back on Friday for my Video Tutorial on this project.  Trust me, you're not going to want to miss it!!!!!  Until next time...

Team Sketch Challenge #5

Hello stampers!!! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend.

Today's share is of my card that i came up with for our team sketch.  For those of you that are not familier with what that is, every month a sketch is done up and the members of our stampin team (Frenchie's Team, France Martin is my up-line), have to come up with some sort project that coinsides with the sketch.  It is a really fun way to maybe step out of your normal way of designing things!! So, this is what i came up with for this month!

I wanted my vocal point and my banner "POP" so i added some Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details to my glass to make it look like it had some yummy holiday "cheer" in it and popped my banner up on some dimensionals.  Let's take a look at the sketch that we had to go by this month:

For my image today on my card (the glass) i used the clear mount stamp set, Happy Hour.  It's the set that i am showcasing today.  Here is a look at the entire set:

Well that's all for today folks.  Hope you were inspired by something you saw today (like... the sketch, lol).  Until next time...

Punchy Turkey Video

Happy day stampers and welcome to another video tutorial here at Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'!!

Earlier this week i posed this cute Punchy Turkey and i had a few people on different sites that i post too ask me how i made him (thank you so much for those of you that asked!!!), so i thought i would do a short video on how I made him for you.  Now, before i get started I do wanted to point out that some of the items that i used are retired (boo hoo) such as the blossom punch (that is what i call it in the video) that i used for his feathers and the googlie eyes, but i just love the way that he turned out ( i originally made him for my daughters scrap book and wasn't planning really on sharing him but couldn't help myself, lol).  I am sure that you could use anything really that has some sort of scallop, and if anyone CASE's him with a different product, i would LOVE to see what you came up with!!!!

Let's go ahead and take a look at the video.  If you want to see my complete supply list for my previous post this week, on everything i used to make the card pictured above, please click HERE.

Oh I love it! And i want to thank my AWESOME Momma too for being my special guest in my craft room that day and being oh so quiet, lol:)

Now a quick reminder of the great promotion that SU! is offering right now.  To help continue to celebrate the Best Of 25 Years, they are offering 25% off 25 selected stamp sets!!!!

Fall Perfect Blend

Hello stampers!!! Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'!!!

I am so loving the weather right now in the mitten state.  Today we are surrounded by beautiful Fall colors but.... it is snowing just ever so lightly.  It's really pretty looking sitting here staring out my craft room window.  Today's share was inspired by today... and snuggling up with a nice, warm Fall drink.  Like warm cider and maybe top that perfect drink with a pumpkin spice doughnut.  Man, now i'm hungry, lol:)

The set that i used today is one of my favorites.  It's the Perfect Blend clear mount stamp set.  This set can truly be used for ANY occasion.   Here is a closer look at that entire set:

One of the things that i love most of this set is that you can paper piece it together to give it a million and one different looks!!!!  With this one i decided to make my cup the same color as my background DSP, which is the Sweater Weather DSP.  (Cut at 4 1/2" x 4 3/4).  I backed my DSP with some Pumpkin Pie (cut at 4 3/4" x 5") and topped my DSP with some Early Espresso (cut at 3 1/2" x 3 3/4").  My card base is in the Soft Suede card stock and measures average size of 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2"

Well all that's it for today.  Until next time...

Mrs. Clause Dress

Hello stampers.  So, we are doing something new.  From now on (or at least for awhile) i am going to be posting my shares at nighttime... therefore, if you check it on a Wednesday... you are going to be seeing "Tuesdays" post.  But Wednesday night i will be post a new post for Thursday.  Make sense?  I hope so.  Not too sure how this is going to work for Friday Video, but we will have to tackle that together:)

So, since i posted already this morning (as far as the dates go) you are actually getting 2 shares today!! YAY!!! Since everyone has been so caught up on Halloween and Thanksgiving (Fall) cards... i am to blame on that too, i thought i would throw a Christmas card in the mix.

This is a card that i found online.  It didn't have a watermark on it or a link to a site, so i don't know who made it.. but whomever did THANK YOU for the awesome idea.  I changed a few things on it of course to make it my own, but the basic concept is the same!  I absolutely love it!!!

I used the Dress Framelits and my Big Shot for the dress.  Here is a closer look at those two products:

Now, on to some announcements.  First off, in my post yesterday... i mean earlier today (lol man this is going to get confusing), i had said, when i was explaining the Best Of 25 Years series, that SU! was offering an additional 25% off those sets... well i was wrong. Hey, it happens right, lol?  What it REALLY is....

It is 25% off 25 stamp sets that SU! has chosen.  I think that is even better!!! Click HERE to see a complete list of all the 25 sets where you can receive an additional 25% off.  Hurry, hurry though... this special only lasts until October 28th!!

Well, that is it for today!  Make sure to check back on Thursday for a new share!  I know, it's going to seem weird not having a new post at all tomorrow, but things are bit crazy in my life right now and i want to make sure that i give you guys a new share everyday.  It's just getting into the swing of things these first few days.  Hope you can bare with me!!!  Until next time...

Punchy Turkey

Happy Monday stampers!! Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'!!

Today's share is a super cute, punchy, Fall or Thanksgiving card.  A few weekends ago when i was at the scrapbooking retreat that i want on with my Momma, i was doing a Thanksgiving page in my daughters book and i came up with this little guy.  I couldn't wait to get home and put him on a card!!!!

I just LOVE him!!!  Little did i realize when i was making him though that the punch that i used for his feathers (i call it the Blossom Builder Punch) is retired. Sad but true:(  But you could use any punch really that has some sort of scallop to it for his feathers.

The DSP that i used for him is the Sweater Weather pack.  This is a great pack for Fall colors.  With Fall being my favorite season (we have them all here in the mitten state) i always go crazy with Fall cards... and then of course Christmas cards but that is for later, lol:)  Let's not get me started on Christmas.  The product that i am featuring today is the DSP pack, Sweater Weather. Here is a closer look:

Well, that is all for today folks.  Hope you enjoyed today's share and until next time...

Halloween Witch

Hello stampers!!!! Happy Thursday!!!

Today's share is another Halloween character that i made.  This time... a spooky witch!!!  I love making characters like this for all of the holidays.  This is one that i came up with last weekend on my weekend get-a-way.  I had a lady ask me if i had ever done a witch.  Immediately i put what i was doing down and started getting creative!!!

This witch i wanted to be 3D, so i made her nose stick out.

I don't quite know how she would fit into an envelope... without her snoz getting squished but she could just be hand delivered i guess, lol;)  I just love the way that she turned out!!!  This card was actually pretty simple to make... once i got my idea out of my head and out on the paper.  The base of my card measures average size of 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2".  I used my 1 3/8" circle punch for the reds of her eyes using Real Red card stock. Unlike the Dracula card that posted a few weeks ago, which you can see Here i decided to have the red go all the way around her eye.  For the next layer, Whisper White i used my 1 1/4" Circle punch and then for the pupil part of her eye i used Basic Black and my 1" Circle punch.

Her nose really has no exact "instruction".  I really just kind of winged it.  I took a piece of Old Olive (the same color as the base of my card) and cut it about 1 3/4" wide.  Then i just did a diagonal cut from the center of it to the base, that gave me my pointy nose.  For her hair i took Basic Black card stock and cut it into strips of 1/4" wide and then placed it under her hat and cut it to the length that i wanted (after crumpling them in my hand, so they would have a "messy" look).  Then again, like i did on my Sucker card i used my Label Framelit for her mouth.

Here is a closer look at the 3 punches that i used for today's project:

Well, that's it for today folks.  Sure hope you enjoyed my share for today.  Until next time...
