Today's card is a Christmas themed card. Can you believe that it is already that time of year to begin thinking about Christmas? Where has 2014 gone? Today's card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and is using the Whisper White for the base. I then used one of the new In Colors, Lost Lagoon for my matt piece and then another piece of Whisper White. The new sets that i used are called White Christmas and Wonderous Wreath. I just love the little deer in the White Christmas set. Adorable. I used my VersaMark Ink, Embossing Buddy, Clear Embossing Powder and the snowflakes also in the White Christmas set and embossed my snowflakes. When i went over them with my Sponge Daubers and my Soft Sky Inki, the embossing power "resisted" the color and stayed white. It's a technique that is called Emboss Resist. I hope to have a video on this simple technique soon!
The item that i am showcasing today is the Heat Tool. It's another product, like the Stampin' Trimmer that i showcased yesterday, that i sometimes think get overlooked. It has 2 settings on it, which i haven't found a lot that do, where you can have it on the hotter setting for embossing and then on the coolers setting for another technique (like helping along Crystal Effects to dry).
