Hello everyone. So, since i will be leaving early in the morning to head to my weekend scrap booking retreat, have i mentioned how excited i am?!?!?!?!? I thought that i would post Friday's video tonight to help save time in the morning.  In today's video i am showing you how to make 2 DSP envelopes.  One that will fit a standard size card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2) and one to fit a 3x3 card.  I love making my own envelopes so that i can match my envelope with my card... help tie it all together.

The dimensions for the 3x3 card are as follows:
Card Stock measures 7" x 4 5/8"
Score on the "long" side of your DSP at 1 1/2" and 4 5/8"
Score on the "short" side at 5/8" and 4

Standard size envelope dimensions:
Card Stock measures at 10 1/4" x 7 1/4"
Score on "long" side at 2 1/4" and 6 3/4"
Score on "short" side at 3/4" and 6 1/2"

The DSP that i used today is offered in this months special... click HERE to see a larger version of the below flyer

Spooky Tri-Shutter

Good morning all and Happy Hump Day!!! So, this morning i wake up to find that somehow in the middle of the night something had happened to the left side of my face to make it so that i was all swollen.  First i thought that maybe i had been bitten but something, but that can't be the case because i have had a pain on the left side of my nose.  Almost if something was trying to "pop" through.  This morning i wake up and the whole left side of my nose, under my eye and above my lip are swollen. Kind of looks as though i have been hit in the face, without the bruising!  Hopefully it begin to go down on it's own... i hate to go to the doctor!

So today's card I am so excited about.  I had a gal ask me to come up with a fun card for her to make for her grand kids.  I was going to do the normal Tri-Shutter Card, i think that those are so fun and creative.  Whomever came up with that, props to you!! Once i got the card cut i realized that i wanted the front of my card to be more like the look of a normal card so... this is what i came up with...

This of the view of the card totally open.

And this is a closer picture of the inside.  HOW CUTE!!! Once the card was complete, because i used some "puffy's" with the little guy and the bats to give it, yes you got it... dimension, lol, i had to make a belly band to help hold it closed. The total dimensions of the card are 4" x 5 1/2", so it will fit into a standard size envelope.

Well i hope you enjoyed today's card.  Until next time... Happy Inkin'!!

Meet The Mum Family

Good morning all and welcome to another post!  So, last week i posted a Mummy card that I had made (click HERE to see that card) using paper strips.  After i had posted it i thought that maybe Mr. Mummy needed an extended family so... I am pleased to introduce you to the Mum's!  With the Mummy, ha I mean "Mommy" and Daddy Mum's being a standard size of 4 1/4" by 5 1/2 the little wee Mum's are a 3 x 3 card.  These Mummy's are so much fun to make.  All i do is take a piece of Very Vanilla card stock, but strips of 1" x 4", sponge the sides and dabble the middle with Basic Gray Ink and then arrange them going all different ways.  On these Mummy's compared to the last one there is more "criss-crossing", which gave it a more "dimensional" look i think.  To decipher which one was Mummy and the wee little girl i added a Primrose Petals bow to their heads!

I also wanted to remind you of the special that is for the month of October only!! With as fast as the months seem to be flying by you don't want to wait too long or before you know it... POOF... the special will be gone!

Well i hope you all enjoyed today's card, and until next time... Happy Inkin'!!

Thank You Cards

Hello everyone and happy Monday to you.  I am so sorry that i was MIA over the weekend. It was crazy in the Lincoln household. My little one is cutting 3 teeth right now... let's just say that sleep is now something that she doesn't think that she needs.  On top of that i am getting ready to go on my first weekend scrapbooking adventure since she was born.  She will be staying with daddy for the first time (over night and for more than a few hours) so i am trying to get all my cuddle time in that i can along with getting all my "stuff" around.  I will be demonstrating SU! for the first time there ( I have been attending this retreat 2 times a year since 2003 i think) so getting all my Make and Takes and stuff ready has taken some time as well.  But I am back and ready to share today's card(s) with you.

Last Friday i received an order from SU! that had all the new 2012-2014 In Colors in it! Man what amazing colors!!!!  Also in my box of goodies i received the stamp set My Friend. I just love it. I think that the solid flower stamp is just beautiful!!  So, i made these thank you cards for this weekend, anyone that places an order get a Thank You card with matching envelope.  The card measure's 3x3.  Check back this Friday for the video on how to make envelopes out of card stock or DSP!

Well, hope you enjoyed. Until next time... Happy Inkin'!!

Sweet Spinner Video

Happy Friday all. So with Friday comes another card video.  While making this video, I did MANY takes, lol.  It always seemed that something happened in the middle of it that was distracting me such as the phone ringing, rain shooting in through my window... you know all the normal stuff (hehe).  Then after trying a few times it began that i was making more and more Oopsies... where are my dimensionals?  I think this is how this is supposed to go.... oh no it's lop-sided!!!!  Thanks to my sweet hubby, whom without i would be lost, he reminded me that i am new at this... that things such as my videos are not supposed to be "perfect" but "homemade", which by today's video you can really tell.  So without further a due... here is today's video!

The dimensions that i used to build my Sweet Spinner are as follows:

Spinner Card

Good morning all and Happy Monday to you!  I hope you all enjoyed your weekend.  We had a fabulous weekend i must say.  On Friday, as you know, the hubby took a vacation day and him and i went out on a "date day" antiquing and Halloween costume shopping for our little one!  We finally found one.  But i can't tell what it is yet... it's a secret!!  Saturday morning i had my first "workshop" with a few girls that Love paper crafting as much as I (hard to believe but that's what they say, lol, just kidding). We spent the day chit chatting and scraping.  It was truly a great day! Then on Sunday we took our little Monkey to the local cider mill.  Got donuts and cider, went for a storybook hayride, got pumpkins! It was a great day!!!

Well, now on to the card.  Today's card is a Spinner Card. It is called that because the snowball above (with the bird on it), when you tip the card back and forth the snowball spins around.  I wanted it to look as though the snowman was throwing a snowball at the bird, hehe.  Check back on Friday for a video on how to do this awesome card!!

Well i I hope you all have a great Monday and until next time... Happy Inkin'!!
