Birthday Bling

Hi there all!! Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'!!!

Today's share is a card that i made for my Bestie whose birthday is coming up this Friday!!  She LOVES Pink and she LOVES Bling! This card i thought would be perfect for her. It's filled with both!!!

The base of my card is average size of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and then I layered Melon Mambo cut at 4" x 5 1/4" and then a piece of the Silver Glimmer paper cut at 3 3/4" x 5".  I wanted the "bling" to really show so i made my smaller piece (Whisper White) just large enough to outline my vocal piece which is the ribbon from Blue Ribbon stamp set.  I sponged the edges with Melon Mambo ink and then lightly bushed the edge with my StazOn ink.  Just enough to give it some more dimension.  For my ribbon i stamped it in Melon Mambo on Whisper White and then again on Basic Black and then used my Paper Snips to cut out the tails. I stamped it one more time with my Smokey Slate ink and then punched out the center with my 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Punched out the scallop part of the ribbon with my 2 3/8" Scallop Circle punch and popped it up on Dimensionals.  To add just a little something extra i took my Banner punch, which sorry to say is not available now. It was a freebie from this past Sale-A-Bration... but you never know... it may show up in the new Annual Catalog.

Speaking of the new catalog, have you seen the lists of the retiring products?  If not, here they are:

Keep in mind the items are only available while supplies last, so don't wait and miss out!!  Today Stampin' Up! released the new items for the Weekly Deals; some more great ones that you can get for a "steal"

Now a quick update on the selling/buying of our house.  Our closing date for the house that we live in now is set in stone for May 27th.  It is right around the corner and i am beginning to freak out, lol:) We are not even close to be all packed and ready to go.  The appraisal of our new home was done today so now we are just waiting for the actual report and we will be aaaalllll set!  We are hoping to just move right from our current house to our new house... fingers crossed that all works out and we are able to do that.

Well, that is all for today my friends.  Thanks for stopping by. I will try to get another post done this week (try being the key word, lol). Oh quick before i forget... my new supply list also helps you know what items are on the retiring lists.  If you click on an item that is going to be retiring it takes you directly to the page that says "Good-Bye", if it is not retiring it takes you directly to my online store so that you can place your order if you wish.  Just a little FYI!! Until next time...

Friendly Hexagon Thinlit

Hi there stampers!!!!  I had some time today after a very long weekend of packing.  Sadly, half of my craft room is now gone as well:(  With the extra time i thought that i would share a card today:) YAY!!!

Today's card is using the Soft Sky card stock along with the Basic Black. I love blues/blacks together.  I wanted to accent a little more color so i decided to go with Daffodil Delight to place behind the larger hexagons to accent them.  For my greeting i used the "My Friend" sentiment from the My Friend stamp set.  This set is on the retiring list and sadly is all sold out:(  If you haven't seen the retiring lists you can see the...

I accented my card additionally with a pansy from the Pansy Punch in the Strawberry Slush card stock.  I then sponged the edges with the Strawberry Slush ink and my sponges.

The item that i am showcasing today is the Hexagon Hive Thinlit:

Well that is all for my share today friends.  You will see at the bottom of my post that i am showcasing my "supply list" a bit differently.  It is a trial period right now but if it all works like it is supposed to, it may be a new thing:)  Until next time friends...

Double Pouch Front Card

Well hello there all my craft friends.  So, i haven't posted all week (as i'm sure you have noticed) however i want to still try and post a video each week.  At least for now.  As things begin to get a bit crazier with our move i may not be able to but for now we are all good!!

Today's Friday Video is of a Double Pouch Front Card. I love this card because you have two pouches on the front of the card but it still opens up to an average size card for your message/greeting!

Now you know me and how obsessed i am with gift card holders, so of course yes, i turned mine into one, lol.  One of the pull outs holds a gift card so it can be versatile, if you want it to be that is:)  The card above is the card that i made in the video, here is a look at another one i did:

I wanted to show this one too so you could see the inside as well. The layers of the inside are just as if you were layering on the front.  The card measures average size of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" so your next layer (in my card i used Early Espresso) and that is cut at 4" x 5 1/4" and then your next layer (below i used Whisper White) is cut at 3 3/4" x 5".  This is where i would write my message.

Let's take a look at today's Friday Video:

I love it!!  So, i know that i am WAY behind on the Weekly Deals but i wanted to make sure that i shared them with you.  Next Tuesday they will be announcing the next set of Weekly Deals, so you still have a few days to order something you see that you just HAVE to have:)

So, now an update on the move.  We just got done with all of our inspections on our new home. Thank you God that everything came back A-Ok!!  Now all we are waiting for is the last minute details and we can hopefully close soon.  Our closing date on our current house is set for May 27th, so if all goes as we are hoping it does we can move right from our current house to our new home.  Did i tell you about the "sign" that this house was just meant for us?  Our new home is located on Lincoln street!!! HAHAHAHA, i just love it! The Lincoln family is going to live on Lincoln street! If that isn't a dead sign i just don't know what is!

Well friends, that is all for today.  I will try and get a new post later this week!  Until next time...

5 Minute Corner Bookmark Video

Hi there all! Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin.  Sorry that i am a bit late posting the Friday video for today... we have been really busy here the last few days, but i will get to that news later.

Today's share is of the 5 Minute Corner Bookmark that i showed you earlier this week.  You can view that entire post HERE.  This is such a cute project to make for anyone that loves reading.  And it doesn't just have to go in a book... this project will fit in a magazine... Stampin' Up! catalog, lol... The one that i made in the video share i went more on the Masculine side.  Men like to read too right?

Love it!! Seriously too, i know i say it a lot (because i like simple things) but the bookmark itself takes you about 2 minutes to make... doesn't get any easier, lol:)

Now, in case you have missed it, SU! released the retiring stamps and accessory list.  There are some great products that are leaving us so make sure you stock up on them if they happen to be your favorite.  The items are only available while supplies last!!!

Ok, so moving on to some personal news/information.  So if you follow my blog regularly you know that the hubby and I decided to sell our house.  It was a tough decision since it was our first house and where a lot of our very special memories happened.  Proposal's, finding out we were becoming parents... (tearing up now, lol), however it was a decision we knew was the right one.  So... we have officially sold our home and... found a new one!! We have found the home of our dreams and a place we can see ourselves at FOREVER.  Because i tell you what, i am not moving again LOL, this has been one of the most stressful situations lol.  Now, we have only put an offer in on our dream home so please keep your fingers crossed that it is accepted.  With all of that being said.. i am having to pack up my craft room so i will not be posting regularly to my blog:(  I am going to try and post a few posts and projects and i have a couple of videos already made that i am going to try and share but will more than likely not be making any new projects.  I don't know how well i am going to do not being able to craft... makes me break into a sweat just thinking about it.  There are some things and announcements that SU! is coming up with that i will be sure to share with you so you don't miss out.  Remember, if you ever have any questions you can always email me at slincoln0203@yahoo.com.

Well all, that is it for today.  I want to thank all of you for being understanding and patient with me while moving.  Happy Inkin' and until next time...
