Flower Pot Card Video

 

Hello stampers!! Welcome to my Friday Video here at Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'! I want to apologize for my absence yesterday in posting.  I was in a car accident yesterday (yes, everyone is fine), I was rear ended and ended up spending the majority of my day getting that taken care of.  So, i thought that i would give you 2 posts in one today.  

Today's video is going to be how i made this adorable Flower Pot on an average piece of card stock measuring at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".  Then, when you scroll down you will see step by step instructions on how you can make the "normal" Flower Pot card.  Where the pot is actually the card itself.  

Here is a look at the inside of my flower pot card...

Well let's take a look at the video!!

Now, to make the normal Flower Pot Card, what you are going to need is a piece of card stock cut at 3 1/2" x 9"

Once you have that done you need to score it at 2" and 5 1/2"

When you have your score lines you need to fold the larger section one way (up to the 2" score mark) and your smaller section the opposite direction.  It should look like this when you're done...

Now just like in the video we have to make our diagonal cuts so that it looks like a flower pot.  So, place your 2" score mark in your cutting strip and the peak of your 5 1/2" score mark at the 1/2" mark on the other side of your cutter arm.

Flip it around and do the exact same thing to the other side.

Once that is done your pot should look like this...

Now once your pot is done, you would assemble the remainder of it the same way as you did the pot showed in the video.  The piece of card stock that you need to fit into this pot is going to measure 2 1/4"x 4 1/2".  This is where you would also arrange your flowers at the top.
