Hello stampers, welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'!!! So, today the hubby went to work (for the first time since the snow storm) but tomorrow he has another "snow day" due to the wind, drifts and temperature. It has been sooo nice having him home with Emma and I during the day... plus it allows me to get a little more crafting time, lol.
Today's card is using one of the brand new stamp sets People Like You, available now in the Occasions Mini. I framed my card, which measures average size of 4 1/4" X 11", scored at 5 1/2" with a frame that i popped up using Dimensionals and Early Espresso card stock.
My image itself is stamped in Memento Black Ink because i wanted to get my Copic's out and play a little. I don't use them very often but this image, with the petals and stems, just screamed for me to bust them out, lol:) The colors that i used are listed below. I used 3 different shades of Purple's and starting with the lightest (coloring the whole petal) i then went in with my darkest color and put in my "shadows", then blending it with my medium color and then again with my lightest color. To finish off my card i decided to stamp my image again, well just the greeting, in StazOn ink on a piece of Daffodil Delight and then placed it atop the plain one (that was stamped when i stamped my main image) to give it more dimension and color.
