HUGE (but simple) Birthday Wishes

Hi everyone. Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today's super SUPER simple card share.

Today I am sharing a birthday card that uses the adorable stamp set Wild Birthday by Avery Elle.  This is such an adorable set and is one of my favorites to color with any kind of medium.  Today I chose to color this cute little hippo with some simple Copic markers.  Now, I made this card prior to making my supply lists for my blog here, so I apologize about that, so I am unsure of the exact ink colors that I used or the exact "red" that I used for the base of my card.  But I am pretty sure that I used my C1, C3, and C5 Copic Markers to color in my hippo.  This is just some super simple shading in the areas where I thought there would be a shadow.  Just to add some interest to this card, I used my Large Stitched Rectangle Dies from Lawn Fawn. Being that this card is so simple, it is definitely listed under Sara's Simple Shares.

Here is a closer look at the Wild Birthday stamp set that is featured in today's card:

Well friends, that is all for today.  Thanks a bunch for stopping by and taking a peek.  Until next time...

Simply Amazing

Hi there stampers:)  Today's card is a simple card where I used a few bright colors along with the Scenery Stripes stamp set from Winnie & Walter.

This set is great for creating your own custom backgrounds.  It has a great variety of "stripe" stamps that make is so quick and easy.  I used a variety of bright colored inks (forgive me, I didn't write down which ones I used because i was SURE I would remember.... HA!!)  My cards today measures average size of 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and then scored at 4 1/4", making it a normal side folding card.  For my Neenah 80lb piece I cut that just slightly smaller on each of the sides so that my black piece would show just a bit more on the sides.  I think for a simple card like this it really makes it pop.  To finish, I took some clear sequence and adhered them on with my Ranger Multi-Mat adhesive.  This is a great strong adhesive perfect for sequence.

Here is a closer look at the stamp set that I used today:

Well that is for all stampers!  And never fear, I have been writing my products down that I use so I will be able to provide a supply list.  Some of these cards I made prior to getting my blog up and running again.  Until next time all...

Amazing Jar

Hi friends! Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today's card share!

Today's share is a card that I made using the new Jar of Love stamp set and coordinating framelits, Everyday Jars.  As soon as I saw this bundle I knew it had to become part of my collection:)

The card measures average size of 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2" and is in the So Saffron.  I then topped that with a piece of Whisper White measuring 4" x 5 1/4".

I kept the card simple just having the jar and the flowers as the vocal with the background plain. To add just a tiny bit of bling I added some Jewels to each of the corners.

Lost Without You

Hi friends.  Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'!

Today is another Sara's Simple Share of this card that is letting a friend know that I would be lost without her.  This card is using the new stamp sets Love and Affection and Cottage Greetings.

The colors that I used are a mixture of old and new:)  I used the large flowers in Sweet Sugarplum; the small flowers in Rich Razleberry, the center of the flowers are Peekaboo Peach and then the leaves are in Mint Macaron.  Then the greeting is in Wisteria Wonder.

The card measures average size of 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2" and then has another layer of Whisper White popped up on dimensions which measures 4" x 5 1/4".

Work of Art - Friendship

Hi everyone:)  Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'!

Today's share is of a Sara's Simple Share friendship card using the brand new set, Painters Palette.

I used the splatter from the set in 2 of the new In-Colors; Sweet Sugarplum and Emerald Envy.  I must say the new In-Colors are amazing and they all coordinate so well together.  The sentiment is in another In-Color, Dapper Denim.

I used the easel and then cut out the square with the new Layering Squares framelits and popped it up on some dimensionals.

My card measures 4 1/4" x 11", scored and 5 1/2" and is in the Smoky Slate card stock.

Going Global - Masculine

Hi stampers!! Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'!!

Today's share is of a Sara's Simple Share featuring a Masculine card.  A lot of time we think that the men in our lives only need to get cards on birthday's, Christmas, Valentines Day... but what about just sending them a card in the mail or leaving it where they will find it just to tell them you love them and that you would be lost without them.  Guys secretly like that kind of thing I think:)

The stamp set that I used is the Going Global set along with the Going Places DSP.  Both of these items will be leaving us on May 31st and right now you can only get items while supplies last! YIKES!!!

To add a little bit more "man" to the card I used my twine to wrap around to give it a little more decoration but not anything overpowering.

Air Balloon Birthday

Hi friends.  Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today's card share.  Today I am sharing a  Sara's Simple Shares birthday card, that I made using the Balloon Framelits.  This framelit set you can get in a bundle along with the Celebrate Today stamp set, which is also used in today's card.  If you choose to purchase it in a bundle you will save 15%.  Who doesn't love to save?!?!?!?

I created a simple background using some sponges and the "cloud" looking punch from the Tree Builder punch.  It is actually yes suppose to be a tree topper but hey, you can use it however you want right?  By sponging lightly with my Soft Sky ink I was able to create some awesome cloud effects:)

The card today measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and is a one layer card.  Meaning that the images are right on the card base itself, there are no other pieces attached to it.

Masculine - Grew Up Loved

Hi there all! Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'!

Today I'm sharing a Masculine card that is part of Sara's Simple Shares.  This is a very simple card that you can make for that special man figure (this case I had my father in mind).

It is an average size card measuring 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2" and is in Crumb Cake card stock.  I have one layering piece, that is in the same color that measures 4" x 5 1/4".  I then took my Crumb Cake ink and stamped a tone-on-tone image using the Wonderland stamp set.  I did stamp off first on a piece of scrap paper so that it wouldn't be so bold.  The greeting... I just love this greeting and think it is so great, is from the set Suite Sayings.  This is stamped in Soft Suede ink:)  Then to add the finishing touch I wrapped some twine around the side.

Simple Note For You

Hey there everyone.  A quick post today showcasing a Sara's Simple Share.

The card today is using a piece of DSP that is from the new Pop Of Pink DSP... This so far is my new favorite DSP. I just love all the designs and colors in it.  I chose the black and white strips because I thought it looked so nice with the Mint Macaron (another one of my favorite colors)

The card is 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4".  The first layering piece is 1/8" shorter all the way around.  Then the second Mint Macaron piece is cut at 4 1/2" x 3 1/4" with the DSP measuring 4 1/4" x 3".  Then for my greeting I cut a piece of Whisper White at 3/4" x 2 7/16" and backed it again with the Mint Macaron at 1" x 2 7/16"

The greeting too is from the brand new stamp set Love and Affection!! It's a great set!!  Think you may want to get your hands on some of the pre-order items before they are all available in the annual catalog?  Well right now SU! is offering that if you sign up to become a Demo you can choose from the Preorder list as items to be included in your starter kit:)  WOW!!!!

Crabby Birthday

Hey there stampers, welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'!!

Today is a card that is in the Sara's Simple Share's series.  I pulled out the stamp set You're Sublime and realized how cute this little crab is.  I didn't want him to be "crabby" so I decided to make him into a birthday crab.  I think that this is an adorable card for a toddler/child:)

Mr. Crab is holding a bouquet of balloons being that he is on his way to a birthday party, lol;)  I used the Balloon Celebration stamp set and filled in my balloon strings with the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker.  My Stamp-A-Ma-Jig played a huge part in today's card as well.

Well there really isn't a lot else to say about today's share, it is pretty simple and pretty self explainitory:)  I am off to do some more crafting... it has been snowing here the last couple days again here in the mitten state so there has been lots of extra time to craft.  That's Michigan for you though, sunny and 70 one day and then the very next day snowy and in the 20's.  I saw this picture on Facebook the other day and it had me cracking up

I hope you all have a fantastic day friends!! Until next time...

Today's share is another Sara's Simple Share.  I like to share cards that are simple and quick to make for those times when you just need to whip up a card last minute.  This card I decided to make some homemade DSP using the balloon image from the Party Pants stamp set that is available right now through Sale-A-Bration.  You better hurry though, Sale-A-Bration is only available until March 31st.  The countdown is on:)  You can check the entire catalog for Sale-A-Bration HERE!

Wedding Wishes

Hello everyone!! Wishes of a very happy Easter from our family to yours!! I hope you have all had a fabulous day!! We have had a fantastic day filled, with Easter egg hunts, family time, yummy food and so much more.

Today I thought that I would share a Sara's Simple Share wedding card that I made using the Glitter Tape again as my vocal point really.  This is an item that you can get for FREE during Sale-A-Bration but you have to hurry... Sale-A-Bration ends on March 31... so that is 4 days from today! YIKES!!!

I posted a card last week where I made the background in the Glitter Tape... this I did pretty much the same thing except I only put in in one corner... just enough to give it a little bling:)

I love the colors together of Black and White (those were actually the colors for mine and my hubby's wedding).  I just think they look so classic and elegant together.  So I chose a Basic Black background that measures average size of 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2".  Then I just took my tape, arranged them in the color order that I wanted and there you go:)

So, I thought I would share with you a little something special that we did for Emma this year for Easter.  We had a bag of Jellybeans laying around so I started calling them "Jellybean Seeds".  We went out to the back and planted some.  She got to plant them wherever she wanted.  She was so excited and so hopeful that they would grow into something yummy overnight.

She was so excited when she woke up this morning, went to check on her seeds to discover that they had in fact grew!!!!

It's the little things!!  Well, that is all for today my friends.  Thanks for taking a peek today and until next time...
