Color Coach Week - Day 5 (Video)

Hello there! Welcome!!!

Today brings us to a close to our Color Coach Week and what way to end it then with a video of a box which can hold all of our awesome cards that you have made through the week with the Color Coach!  What did you think of this week having a theme?  Did you like that all of the projects were using the same thing?

This is an awesome 3D box that can be used for so many things. Since making one of these for the first time i have about a dozen around my craft room holding different things.  You can fit quite a few cards in this too.. of course depending on how much embelishments you use.  I have 4 cards in this one and i have room for more.  I better get craftin', lol.

Isn't that awesome?  Oh how i love 3D projects!!  Here is a closer look at the box that i showed you at the beginning of the video along with a short supply list of what i used.

For this project i used Old Olive, Eastern Elegance DSP and Soft Suede for my paper.  My inks were Soft Suede and my Cajun Craze Marker.  The stamp is from the set Look Up To Father, it's an awesome set that you can get from the Occasions Mini.  It is also the stamp set that i am showcasing today. It's a single stamp that you can get in wood-mount only.

Well my friends, thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you enjoyed today's video share.  Until next time...
Happy Inkin'

Color Coach Week - Day 4

Hi there!! Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and my Color Coach Week.  All this week i have been showcasing card that i have made using colors from the Color Coach.

While creating these projects the Color Coach really helped me to stray away from my "go to" colors that i tend to use all the time.  I am guilty of tending to reach for the same colors all the time and not traveling out of the box that often.  Now, i haven't been able to put it down. Of course you don't have to use the three colors together that i are shown on the card you can make up your own "swatch", which is what i call it. One whole side showcases an example of the single color, like Melon Mambo for example, the large swatch of the color allows you to be able to place that next to other colors to see if you would like them together.  LOL, i hope that makes sense:)

The colors that i used today were Sahara Sand, Pear Pizzazz, and Early Espresso.  The base of my card is where i used the Early Espresso.  I did my card a little different today and i cut the top flap in half so that i only covered half of the bottom portion.  I didn't want my top flap to just be bare so i stamped out flowers from the Flower Shop stamp set in the Crumb Cake and then punched them out with the coordinating Pansy Punch.  This is one of my favorite bundles which you can see by clicking HERE.  To make them more 3D, we all know how much i LOVE dimension haha, i added another flower using the Petite Petals stamp set (again in the Crumb Cake ink) along with the coordinating Petite Petal Punch, another great bundle, which you can see HERE.  To finish off the top flap and to use the third color on my Color Coach card, i took my Pear Pizzazz 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon and tied it around.

The stamp set that i used today for my sentiment is the Delightful Dozen set, which is also the set that i am showcasing today.

Well, that is it for today.  Thanks for stopping by and until next time...

Color Coach Week - Day 3

Hi-ya there friends!! Today is day 3 of my Color Coach Week.  I have had sooo much fun so far sharing these projects with you.  If you missed my last 2 posts never fear... you can click HERE for Day 1 and HERE for Day 2.

Today's card is using my favorite stamp set Stippled Blossoms!! I just think that it is so beautiful!!  The colors that i found for this in the Color Coach were Wild Wasabi, So Saffron, and Perfect Plum.  I wanted to incorporate my colors not only with my card stock but i wanted my ink to match as well only leaving my Soft Suede 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon as my only accent color. My card is average size of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" with my next layer cut at 4" x 5 1/4" which is my So Saffron and then my smallest layer of the Whisper White cut at 3 3/4" x 5".  My Perfect Plum is the top layer of my blossoms and i think that the Perfect Plum goes perfect with the So Saffron.

For my greeting i used the stamp set You're Lovely which you can get for free right now from the Sale-A-Bration brochure.  Hurry, Hurry though, SAB is only on until March 31st! And, guess what?  Today is Tuesday which means that there are new Weekly Deals!  Click HERE to be taken directly to my SU! Demonstrator site to catch all the great deals!!! There are some great ones (like the Peeaboo Frames Bigz L Die).  Also, today a new Photopolymer stamp set was released! It's so stinkin' cute!!  If you click directly on the picture below you will again be taken to my SU! Demonstrator site where you can see all the details for this set as well as all the other great Photopolymer set!

Now, last but not least, the product that i am featuring today is the tippled Blossoms stamp set, yes because it is my favorite, lol:)

Color Coach Week - Day 2

Hi all! Welcome back to day 2 of my Color Coach week!  For those of you that are just tuning in, all this week i am going to be showcasing cards/projects that i made where i was inspired for colors by the Color Coach.  You can see yesterday's post by clicking HERE.

Today's card is a simple card where i left what kind of card it was going to be (meaning birthday, thank you, sympathy, etc.) up in the air.  I like having a few cards like that so that i can just grab one and put a greeting on it quick.  The colors that i used from the Color Coach were Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, and Tempting Turquoise.

I decided to make my own DSP for this one using the Daffodil Delight and the Flower Shop stamp set.  I used tone on tone with the Daffodil Delight and then took the Pansy Punch and punched out in 3 different places.  I decided that i wanted some white to show so i used a piece of scrap Whisper White and placed it behind my Daffodil Delight.  To add my Melon Mambo i couldn't help but use the Petite Petals Punch that is in the Occasions Mini right now.

And that is it my friends.  Pretty simple but i just LOVE these colors together! Makes me think of Summer and warm weather!!!  So, what project am i featuring today?  I thought i would share with you the Flower Shop stamp set as well as the Pansy Punch!  I love sets that coordinate together and this one you can get in a clear or wood mount bundle.

Click on the picture above to be taken directly to my on-line store where you can also see the details for the wood mount bundle.

Well that is all for today friends. Thanks for stopping by and until next time...

Color Coach Week - Day 1

Good day to you my crafty friends!!  Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'!!!  I am super excited for this week, it is Color Coach week.  All week i am going to be sharing a project with you that i made using colors from the Color Coach.

The Color Coach is a newer product to my collection however i have to say I LOVE IT!!! I can't even describe how much.  If you are anything like me you tend to find colors in the SU! collections that you really like, so you tend to be drawn to those colors, forgetting to use any of the others, lol.  This really allows you to go outside of your comfort zone and use colors together that you probably wouldn't of thought of using together.  The colors that i used today are Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise, and Old Olive.

My card measures average size of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" with my base being Old Olive.  I then used the new Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die , which is in the Occasion Mini right now, and cut that out in the Tempting Turquoise.  For my accent and really the vocal point of my card i used the Hexagon Punch to make a flower. I think it is sooo cute and i love the way it turned out!

This is where my third color came into play, Tangerine Tango.  So, you would think that the item i would be showcasing today would be the Color Coach, but since that is an item i am going to be using every day, i wanted to showcase some of the other items that i used in today's card.  Today i am sharing 2 with you and that is the Hexagon Punch and the Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die.

Think that these 2 items may be something you would like to add to your must haves?  Well click directly on the images above and you will be taken directly to my on-line shopping cart! I would really appreciate your business:)

Well, that is all for today my friends! Thanks for stopping by and until next time...

Oh, Hello Note Card Video

HELLO ALL!! Today is a very good day!!! Not only is it Friday Video day but i got my Wireless Router in the mail today and i am all up and running again!!! Thank you God!!!!  It's really the little things right, lol. As soon as i saw that box on our porch i instantely got excited.  I rushed right inside and hooked it up!  Anywhoo, enough with computer things (again), lol. Point is i am back up and running on a normal speed rather than turtle speed and ready to share today's video tutorial with you:)

Earlier this week, Monday, i shared this card.  This is another card that i made using the Color Coach.  Make sure to check back next week... all week are going to be projects that i make using inspiration from the Color Coach.  But that is next week.  One of the things that i love about this card is that it is more like a note card.  You would write your greeting or message on the back since it is just a single layer card.

Let's get to today's video hey?

I am sooo excited about the Color Coach next week.  I have been addicted to that handy little tool lately.  It really is a GREAT go-to item.  The item however that i am showcasing today is the Petal Parade stamp set that is available right now in the Sale-A-Bration brochure.  Click HERE to see the entire brochure.

So that is all for today friends.  So glad that my router came in today because not going to lie... i don't know if my putt putt computer that i was dealing with throughout the week was going to load a video... urg i don't even want to think about it! Thanks again all for being patient and i hope that all the computer problems are behind me:)  Until next time...

Simply Sketched Thank You

Hello all!  Well today seems to be a good day here at the Lincoln house when it comes to the computers (and everything else, lol).  I got an urge earlier today to try and plug my desktop in again to the modem directly and to my amazement it worked.  It is still running a bit slow but I am super excited that it isn't broke!!!  So with that being said, let's get on with today share! YAY!!!

Today i am sharing a nice Thank You card using some simple layering and the Hostess stamp set Simply Sketched. You can receive this set if you were to host a party and you reached sales of $150 or more!  With a $150 party you would receive $25 in Hostess Dollars, meaning that you can get $25 worth of FREE stuff! You doesn't love that?!?!?!?!?  There are many great items to choose from that are exclusive "hostess" items or you can choose from any of the amazing products in the annual catalog.

Here is a closer look at the Simply Sketched Hostess set:

So, on a personal note, today was our second showing on our home.  The looking for a new home/selling current home process is quite exciting however i can never seem to get over that "weird" feeling after coming home when i know that there has been a showing.  It's like... i know that someone i don't know has been wondering around our house and yet i can't really tell if anything is out of place. LOL, creeps me out a little bit:)  But, i guess that just comes with the territory.

Well, that is all for today my friends.  Thanks for stopping by and until next time...

Down again.... =(

Hello all. Welcome.

Well, i am here yet again with more computer issues.  This time, it is not letting me upload any photos.  Well, let me rephrase that... i go to upload them, it says that they are being uploaded and then it freezes my entire computer.  On top of that, when it says that they are uploading it is moving soooo slow and taking soooo long.  I mean really slow... like back when i used a computer for the first time kind of slow.  I tell you what, these issues are beginning to become more than just annoying. The even stranger thing is that my issues didn't begin until my wireless went out.  It was like when my Internet cable wasn't connected directly to my computer things went and worked fine... when it had to travel through the router.  Now, when my craftroom desktop was connected directly to the modem it took a poop and now, while my laptop is connected directly to the modem it is beginning to do the same thing.  I would of thought that if it was connected directly to the Internet cord (i know there is a fancy name for it, i just don't know what it is) that it would move better, faster... because it wouldn't have to go through the router.  Again, this is why i am no computer person because i have no clue what to do.  Good news is that my new router has been shipped and now i am just waiting on a delivery date.  Hopefully, once that is back hooked up i will have no more issues.  I am so sorry for all of the hoopla this past few weeks.  I just can't seem to get things back on track.

On a different note and a personal share, we have another showing on our house tomorrow (March 5th).  I am so excited.  The first one we got great feedback from so i am hoping maybe they want a second look:)

Well, that is all for today friends.  I am sorry again that there is no project share today:(  I will keep trying and hopefully will have one tomorrow!  Until next time...

Birthday Wishes with Tulip Frame

Hi there stampers.  Welcome!

Today's share is a Birthday card.  I knew that you had to of been missing them since i haven't posted one in a few weeks, lol.    Today i used the Framed Tulip Frame embossing folder along with the Hello, Doily stamp set.  This is a bigger stamp and i just LOVE it.  You will be seeing a bit more posts later on of me using this stamp.  The base of my card is average size of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and is in the Blushing Bride card stock.  The piece of Whisper White is what i used in my embossing folder.  I stamped my image first!!! I tried it both ways and found that if i stamped it after i embossed the edges that the ink didn't get in between the tulips very well and i just didn't like how it turned out.  I ran a piece of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" in the embossing folder first and then cut off the edges once it was done.  When it is all said and done it measures almost perfect at 4" x 5 1/4".

Once my image was stamped i took my Regal Rose Ribbon, unfortunately this ribbon is now retired but i really wanted to used it in the middle of my doily.  You could use any larger type of ribbon for this same affect, i just really loved the Regal Rose color.  I'm sad that it is no longer available.

The item that i wanted to showcase for you today is he Hello, Doily stamp:

Well that is it for today all my crafty friends.  Thanks for stopping by and until next time...

Thinking of You Indented

Hello all my crafty friends.  So... today has been a bit of a challenge for me again in the tech-savy world.  Or should i say in MY tech-unsavy world.  I woke up this morning, got myself my morning Crystal-Light Energy (I am not a coffee drinker so that is how i wake myself up in the morning, lol) went to check my email and noticed that my wireless was not working.  So, i tried to be self helping and did what i could, or knew how to do, to see if i could fix the problem.  No luck:(  So, i called the help line... again not a huge amount of help however i learned that my router was faulty so they are sending me a replacement which will take anywhere from 10 to 14 business days. Urg:(  So, with knowing that i did all the proper hook ups to now have my computer connected directly to my modem. Surprisingly i did know how to do that myself, lol;)  So, tonight i go to post my post and what do i find?  My desktop now is not working.  I don't know what happened to it.  There are no viruses detected, but everything and i mean EVERYTHING is slow.  The Internet.. HA forget about that even loading.  So, i called my Internet provider to make sure that it in fact was the computer and possibly not something that i caused with all the fuss today... nope, all is working fine with my connection and with my modem.  So... i got my new laptop from it's home in the living room next to my "spot" as my hubby calls it, plugged it in directly to the Internet and BAM, we have liftoff.  Therefore, i now have a new router on the way and a broken desktop.  I am sure that if i were to have it cleaned or have someone who actually knew what they were doing look at it i would find that it is a simple little problem, no worries but after the issues i have been having the past few days i am about ready to go back to paper and pencil, lol:)

Whew, so there is my little bit of personal share for today.  Boy do I feel better LOL.  Thanks for listening.  Now, let's move on to better, happier things shall we?  Like today's share.

This card is just a single card. Which is what i call cards that don't open.  It is standard size of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and that's that.  You would flip it over and place your message on the back.  I wanted to go with nice Springy colors because like i said last week, i am hoping and praying for Spring to come SOON.  The base of my card is using the Soft Sky card stock.  I then topped that with a piece of Pear Pizzazz card stock which measures 1/4" smaller on all 4 sides.  This is the card that i will be sharing this Friday on my Friday Video.

I love how this card has dimension without really having to do anything but adding Dimensionals.

And i LOVE these colors together!!!  The stamp set that i used today is a set that you can get from the Sale-A-Bration brochure right now for FREE with any $50 purchase or more (prior to s/h and tax).  Click HERE to see all the great items that you can receive for FREE.  This particilar set that i used is called Petal Parade.  Below is a closer look at the entire set.

Well that is all for today my friends.  I sure hope the beginning of your week goes well and until next time...
