Batman Birthday
Happy Hump Day all. It's finally Wednesday and that means that we have reached the half way mark until the weekend. With this weekend being Memorial Day I am looking forward to BBQ's and bon-fires!!
Also, Memorial Day marks a very special birthday, my Godson Matthew will be turning 5 that day!! Oh my goodness, 5 years old already. It seems as though just yesterday he was born. Doesn't time fly by?
Right now Matthew is really into superheros, especially Batman and Spiderman. I thought that i would try my hand at a Batman card. I CASED this card from France Martin (thanks Frenchie). It took me a few tries but i finally got it. It is a bit more tricky than it looks, lol. Especially if your "straight eye" isn't always on target.
Here is a closer picture of the symbol. Can you tell what materials were used? If you guessed the Oval Dies (well, in my case it was the Creative Memories cutting system... i don't have the Oval Dies but they are on my list) and the Word Window Punch and some paper snips. That's it!!
My card measures average size of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". For my base i chose Midnight Muse. I thought it looked like the spooky night sky in all the Batman movies. Then my larger oval is Daffodil Delight and my symbol of course is Basic Black.
Well, that's all for today folks. Thanks so much for stopping by and i hope you visit again soon. Until next time...
