Cracked Glass

Hello there!!  So, i am obsessed with the heavy Duty Embossing Enamel and the "Cracked Glass" technique! It seems all the cards that i am crating lately have this technique on them or something to do with the Enamel.

Today's card is a friendship card that i made, using the Cracked Glass Technique. The card measures an average of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" in Soft Suede.  I used a great Papertrey Ink image, A Little Argyle #4 in some Soft Suede Ink and made my image go half way up the page to make the backing for my card.  I got out an old SU! set, On the Grow, to help my creation! I love getting old sets out every now and again. Takes me back and breaks me from using the same "newer" sets over and over again.

Above is a closer picture of the "cracked" image.  Once the image was dry, i took a Dauber and pushed in some Early Espresso ink to help the cracks stand out.  My layers for my image measure, Early Espresso- 3" x 2 3/4", Wisteria Wonder- 2 1/2" x 2 1/4", and Very Vanilla- 2" x 1 3/4".  Using my copic markers i colored in the vase and the flowers (see supply list for color codes).

Here is the Heavy Embossing Enamel that i have found and really like the way that it works:

I found it at my local craft store and i think spent about $10.  Well all, hope you enjoyed today's card as much as i liked making it.  Until next time...

Postcard

Good morning all! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend and are ready to hit the ground running with another week!!

For today's card i wanted to showcase a card that i made with a new stamp set that i got, Travel Collage by TPC as well as new embossing enamel that i got.  This embossing enamel is a heavier than regular embossing powder, so you can do more things with it rather than just "embossing".  Here is a closer picture of the postcard that has the enamel on it...

This postcard only has one coat of the enamel on it therefore it gives you a "spotted" look which i think looks like raindrops or like this postcard has been through some weather.  The more coats that you use of the enamel, the smoother your result will be.  Check back for my Friday Video and see for yourself!!

I wanted the postcard to look warn so i just bent it in places and then puffed it up with SU! Dimensionals.  The card measures an average size of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".  I used my foam applicators and some Old Paper Distress Ink around the edges to add an even more old, distressed look.

The TPC stamp set is awesome and would work great for a journal page too.  Here is a look at the featured set today...

Love it!!!  Hope you enjoyed today's card.  Until next time all...

Mix It Up

Hello stampers, welcome to another Friday Video!!  Today, i wanted to show you a card, start to finish, that i made using numerous stamp sets.  I find that lately i have been bad about mixing and matching my different sets to make a card... so, i wanted to do that today.  Let's take a look...

The measurements of my card is, as always, the base of my card is average size measuring 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and the Crumb Cake is measured at 4 1/4" x 2 1/2".  Using many different sets isn't only fun, but i think gives us a reminder of what we really have hidden in the back of our "stamp stash"!

The set that i wanted to feature today, was sadly, the set that i could pronounce on the video (oops, lol)... Papillon Potpourri and it's matching punch, Elegant Butterfly:

I hope you all enjoyed today's video.  Until next time...

Keep Calm...

Well hello again stampers!!  Welcome back to another post!  Today's card is a simple yet pleasing card that i made using the hostess set, Carry On. This set is so awesome!!! I just love the sayings that it has!!  I wanted to keep the card clean and simple so i started with an average size card of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".  I then used an image from the set Daring adventure and stamped all over a piece of Wisteria Wonder card stock to make my own DSP.

Once that was done, i cut out two different size label from the Nestabilities Label #7 die collection in So Saffron and Whisper White.  After i heat set my saying in Black embossing powder, i distressed the edges with a sponge in Wisteria Wonder.  I do this too sometimes if my image is "offset" and it really wasn't supposed to be.  LOL, the distressed edges help to take the eye somewhere else rather then just on the saying (just a quick confession and tip for you).

I wanted to add a little bit of a boarder per say so i used a piece of Elegant Eggplant measured at 1 1/4" and topped it with a clean piece of Whisper White cut at 3/4".

The set that i wanted to feature today is... you guessed it... the hostess set Carry On.

This set is exclusively a hostess set so all you have to do is host a part with sales of $150 in product (before s/h and tax) and this awesome set could be yours!!!!  Interested? Great!! Click HERE to email me and we can schedule your party today!!!!

Well, i hope you all enjoyed today's card and until next time...

Wish Big

Hello all and happy day to you!!!  What an excellent morning isn't it?!?!? For today's card i pulled out some of my Papertrey Ink stamps that i haven't used in awhile, man do i love PT product!

For this card it measures average size of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".  I wanted to design my own DSP (we all know how much i love to do that) so i opted to use the wonderful set, All About You.  I started with my biggest flower and stamped that in Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry from SU!, two such awesome colors!!  I then used my leaf and stamped that in the spots that i thought needed some filling and used Gumball Green.

For my "tag" greeting i used the Framelit Labels collection from SU! (size 1 and 2 counting from the smallest to the largest) in Melon Mambo and Whisper White.  I then stamped "Wish Big" from the fabulous stamp set Word Play.

Here is a closer look at the set All About You from PT:

I hope you all enjoyed today's quick post and i hope you all have a fabulous day!!!  Until next time...

Simple Thinking of You

Happy Tuesday all.  Well, my computer still isn't working like it should... either that or Blogger is having a bit of an issue (let's go with that shall we), hehe, but i was able to find away around the issue and got my card loaded for today!! YAY!!!!  I am feeling a bit behind after this holiday season so i am hoping that i can get back into the swing of things now that things have settled down a bit.

For today's card i used the lovely stamp set You Are Loved.  I wanted a nice, simple, clean card so i opted to just use one image and then my greeting.  The card is an average size card measuring at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".  For the banner, i used a piece of Whisper White and then just used my paper snips to "triangle" the ends to give it a banner look.  Here is a little closer look at the stamp set...
Lovely huh? I just love it!! Hope that you enjoyed today's share.  Until next time my blogger friends...

Open Sea Masculine Birthday

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!!!  So, i am a day late, lol, but better late than never right?!?!? I hope you all had a safe and happy New Year!  Our little family just stayed home, had munchies, played board games and had a quite little evening. To me it was the perfect New Year.  All accept for the fact that i fell asleep 40 minutes before the ball dropped and then when my hubby tried to get me up i was so groggy i was just like "yeah.... Happy (yawn) New Year (continue snoring)".  Oh well... what can you do?!?!?

So, today's card is a "manly" birthday card since tomorrow is my hubby's birthday (did I mention that today was my birthday?!?!?). This card is super simple and I only used 7 total products to assemble it!  The card measures at average size of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".  I took the "ledger" stamp from the Open Sea set and stamped it 4 times to make my background.  I then sponged the edges and then took my distressing tool to make them looked aged.  Stamped my boat, and greeting... added another little stamp from the same set for decoration and that's it! I love the way the edges turned out!!

The Open Sea set is the product that i want to highlight today. It is a great stamp set and works wonderful for all kinds of cards... including "manly" cards, lol:)

Don't forget all... that today is the last day that you can order from the Holiday Catalog! There are so many things in there that would make a great addition to your collection. Don't miss out, click HERE to check out the catalog!!

I hope you all enjoyed and have a fantastic day!! Until next time...
