Just Tear It

Hello stampers!! Welcome to another share here today at Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'!!!

For today's share i did a "tear" card. Or at least that is what i like to call it.  I made the card exactly how it sounds... by tearing the paper!! How fun is that?!?  

I started with my card base which measures average size of 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2" in the Soft Suede.  Then i layered three colors... Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Very Vanilla.  I love when you tear it you never really know what you are going to get as an end result until it is together. No card is ever the same!!

For my images i used the awesome Gently Falling stamp set.  If you ask me, no other stamp set reminds me of Fall than this one. With Fall being my favorite time of the year, i find myself reaching for this set A LOT!!!!  Here is a closer look at it:

This is a 2-step stamp, meaning that you can stamp it twice (once with the open image and then once with the full image) or in the case with my card today, i actually stamped it 3 times! It is really a great way to use your stamps in many different ways!!!

Hello stampers!! Welcome!!!

A quick post today about this Birthday card that i made for my Father-In-Law. He is turning the big 50 today!!! Happy Birthday!!!  We had a gathering for him this past Sunday to celebrate.

The card is pretty basic.  It measures average size of 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2".  I used Basic Black as my base, with a piece of Whisper White backing my Modern Melody DSP.  For the center of my card i used the Deco Label Collection in the Real Red and Whisper White and then used my Circut to cut out the "50".  Then flagged a piece of Whisper White and used the awesome stamp set Sassy Salutations for my "Happy Birthday".

Halloween Thinlit Card Video

Hello everyone, welcome to this week's Friday Video here at Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'!!! 

Today's video is showcasing the new SU! Thinlits that were released a little bit ago. I absolutely LOVE these Thinlits. They allow you to make an awesome, perfect swing card with just one simple shot through your Big Shot. Who doesn't love simple right?

I chose a Halloween theme today since it is right around the corner and let's face it... i love the witches boot from the stamp set Bootiful Occasions.  Well, not not wait any longer, here is today's video:

I want to apologize for the lighting in the video and the closeness. I have been trying a new camera angle the last few videos and haven't seemed to gotten everything just right yet. But i will get there, lol, i promise!!! Just bare with me;)

Here is a peek at the inside of the card. Don't you just love the dry embossing on one side and the DSP on the other? I do!!  The Thinlits are such an awesome product, i can't express that enough.  here is a closer look at the Circle Thinlits that i used in today's project:

Never Too Much Happy

Hello stampers! Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'!

Today's share is of a card using some of the new products that i received the other day! I LOVE getting shipments of new items to play with!!

I covered my entire card using a piece of the Afternoon Picnic DSP and then used my new Hexagon Punch (LOVE IT) with the Strawberry Slush card stock to arrange as a boarder along the side of my card, which measures average size of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".  

I cut my circles out with my Circle Framelits (i used circle 2 and 3, counting from the smallest to the largest) and then used my new fabulous stamp set, Yippie Skippie for my greeting. This set, other than the fun awesome name, is great.  Here is a closer look:

Grateful Frame

Happy Wednesday all! 

Today's share is a card that i made using the Truly Grateful set that is available right now in the Holiday Mini. It's a fabulous set filled with everything that reminds you (me) of Fall and Thanksgiving.

For the vocal point of my card i used the larger image of the set, heat embossed it with some Pewter Embossing Powder. This is not a embossing powder that i normally grab for but i am going to be using i a lot more now that i was reminded of what it looks like when it's done. So pretty!!!! I "sunk" my image into a frame using 4 pieces of Early Espresso card stock which made a frame. I popped the frame up on Dimensionals which gave it a nice 3D affect.

Again today on my project i used the Label Bracket Punch which i highlighted yesterday.  You can see that post HERE.  Today i am showcasing the Truly Grateful set. Here is a closer look... once you see it you're not going to be able to live without it, lol:-)

Hello... My Friend

Hello stampers!!! Welcome to Mrs. Lincolns Inkin'!!

Today's share is of a simple card that you could make just to say "Hello" to a dear friend.  My card measures average size of 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2".  I chose to use a piece of Venetian Romance DSP 3/4 of the way up my card and then allow my Blushing Bride card stock show through just at the top.  I separated the 2 with a piece of the Strawberry Slush Stretch Trim Ribbon. I LOVE this ribbon. It is soooo easy to work with and makes creating boarders a cinch!!!

For my greeting i used the My Friend stamp set on a piece of Whisper White measured at 3 1/2" x 2" and then backed with a piece of Baked Brown Sugar measured at 3 3/4" x 2 1/4".

Now, for my punch design.  I used the new Label Bracket Punch that is available right now in the Holiday Mini catalog.  I decided that i wanted a different look to it so i layered a piece of Whisper White with a piece of Strawberry Slush. I love the way that it looks. You get just the slight look of the Whisper White (so it isn't too overpowering) and it really gives the punch a whole different look.  Here is a closer look at the punch itself:

To top it off i used my Elegant Butterfly punch in Daffodil Delight and added some "bling".

Thinlits- Your Kindness

Hello stampers!!  Happy Monday to you!!!

Today's card is a share all about the Thinlits!!! The Thinklits are a product that SU! came out with so that you can do what was called "swing cards" all with one simple go through the Big Shot! These things are amazing!!!!  They come in 2 different bundles.  You can either get the Circle Thinlits (which is what i used in today's project) or you can get the Label Thinlits.  Here is a flyer with each of the sets that you can get:

Aren't they awesome! And i love that you get all the accessories with them too!!!  I will have a video later in the next couple of weeks showcasing how to use them.

Do you recognize the flower petals?  Any idea of how i made them?  Yup, if you guessed with the Bird Punch you are right.  I used 3 "wings" to make each flower!!! I love getting "punchy".  Here is a closer look at that punch.

Ice Cream Panels Card

Hello there stampers! Welcome to Mrs. Lincolns Inkin' and today's Friday Video.

Today's video share is of this Birthday card that i did using 3 ice cream cones in different panels.  This card could most definitely be used for either a girls card or a boys, you would just need to change the colors of course:)

Let's go ahead and take a look at today's video:

I love the color combination of this card.  Who doesn't love Pink and Purples right?  This girl does!!!

For the base of your card you are going to want a piece of card stock that measures 5 1/2" x 11" scored at 4 1/4".  The backer piece that i used here measures 5 1/4" x 4".  The panels measure 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" and then my Whisper White that I used for my greeting measures 3/4" x 3 3/4".

The stamp set and punch that i used today to create my ice cream cones are the Pennant Parade stamp set and the Cupcake Builder Punch.  Here are a closer look at those two great products:

Masculine Birthday

Hello stampers!

Today's card is one that could be used as a masculine card featuring the stamp set Zoo Review.  It's a great set that features some animals that you would find at the zoo.  I used my Honeycomb Embossing Folder for my background because i thought that it kind of looked like the skin of the giraffe.  What do you think?

I Brayered the folder with Tangerine Tango before running it through my Big Shot.  This gave me the color of my background without me having to sponge it.  I did a video AWHILE back on how to do that.  You can check that out HERE.

My card base is Soft Suede and measures average size of 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2".  Then my embossed backing piece measure 4" x 5 1/4".  Here is a closer look at today's featured set, Zoo Review:

Now, on to a personal note!  Today is the hubby's and my 4 year wedding anniversary!! I can't believe that it has been 4 years already! Man, time sure does fly when you're having fun.  I thought i would share with you a little collage that i made showcasing some of our wedding pictures from that special day.

That was such an awesome day. I wish we could go back and do it all over again!!!!

Catalog CASE

Hello stampers, welcome!!!!!

Today's share is a CASE card that i did from the SU! Annual Catalog.  I saw this card and i just LOVED it and had to make one myself.  Of course i changed a few things (i never like to copy something to a tee).  Here is a picture of the catalog page where i got the idea:

See the picture in the top right hand corner?  Look familiar lol?  I decided to change the background DSP.  The catalog sketch used the Polka Dot Parade DSP (126902), as i chose to use the Gingham Garden. I love that paper set and find myself reaching for it a lot!!!!

I chose too to only use 2 clouds instead of 3.  Can you guess what punch i used for the clouds?  Yup, it is the Cupcake Builder Punch.  Don't you just love that you can use punches for different things? I love items that have multiple uses, lol:)  The greeting that i used today is from the stamp set Feel Goods, which is also the set that i am showcasing today.  Here is a closer look at the entire set:
