So Much Cake

Hello my crafty friends:)  Today I am sharing a Birthday card which uses the ADORABLE Beary Special Birthday set from My Favorite Things!  This set is full of adorable little bears that are waiting to celebrate with you:)  You can also get coordinating dies for this set too!!!

The base of my card is an average top folding A2 size card, measuring 4 1/4" x 11" , scored at 5 1/2".  The actual base of my card is Neenah 80lb card stock and then I placed a piece of the 6x6 Cream & Sugar paper pack that I got in the February Card Kit by Doodlebug.  I then took a coordinating piece from the pack and "tore" it, so that it gave it a completely different look than just being layered on top.

Today I chose to use my Zig Clean Color markers in the colors Pale Rose, Pink Flamingo, Flesh Color and a few Distress Markers: Brushed Corduroy and Pumice Stone on some Ranger Water Color Paper.  Then to finish it off I added some sparkle with my Wink of Stella.

That is the card for today my friends.  I hope you enjoyed and until next time...

HUGE (but simple) Birthday Wishes

Hi everyone. Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today's super SUPER simple card share.

Today I am sharing a birthday card that uses the adorable stamp set Wild Birthday by Avery Elle.  This is such an adorable set and is one of my favorites to color with any kind of medium.  Today I chose to color this cute little hippo with some simple Copic markers.  Now, I made this card prior to making my supply lists for my blog here, so I apologize about that, so I am unsure of the exact ink colors that I used or the exact "red" that I used for the base of my card.  But I am pretty sure that I used my C1, C3, and C5 Copic Markers to color in my hippo.  This is just some super simple shading in the areas where I thought there would be a shadow.  Just to add some interest to this card, I used my Large Stitched Rectangle Dies from Lawn Fawn. Being that this card is so simple, it is definitely listed under Sara's Simple Shares.

Here is a closer look at the Wild Birthday stamp set that is featured in today's card:

Well friends, that is all for today.  Thanks a bunch for stopping by and taking a peek.  Until next time...

Birthday Flyby

Hi there stampers:)  Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today's card share.  Today I am sharing this super cute dragon birthday card that I am just absolutely obsessed with.  This is a My Favorite Things stamp set called Magical Dragons, and let me tell you... they don't come much cuter than this.  This set has a coordinating die set that I really think is worth getting.

The background that I chose to do is using some Distress Inks and my Distress water sprayer to create those water drops that you see. I have been loving playing with my distress inks again lately, they are just so much fun!!

The balloons that I used are from a Stampin' Up! stamp set called Balloon Celebration which has a coordinating balloon punch that you can get as well.  However you can easley cut these balloons out and be just fine:)  I colored my dragon and my balloons with some simple copic coloring using only a couple colors for each.

Here is a closer look at the Magical Dragon stamp set (too cute!!!!)

Well folks that is all for the share today:)  I really hope that you enjoyed today and until next time...

Marquee Birthday

Hi there friends.  Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'.  Today I am sharing a quick and simple card that I made using some Stampin' Up! product.  I used the awesome set Marquee Messages to create this birthday card.  Yup, another birthday card:)

I stamped my image with some Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink so that I could do some simple Copic coloring.  The only coloring that I did on this image was the arrow and I used my C1, C3, and C5 Copic markers.  I then added tiny rhinestones all over the outside of the arrow to give it some bling:) Can't forget the bling:) This card took me all of 20 mins to make. A great last minute card for that one birthday that we all seem to forget:)

Hope you're having an amazing week thus far! Until next time...

Roarin' Birthday

Hi there friends!! Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'!

Now, if you have ever checked my blog before in January you know that January is chalked full of birthday's for my family.  So of course I share a lot of birthday cards during the month of January.  Here is an adorable card that I made using this cutie-pa-tutie lion from the set Wild Birthday by Avery Elle.  This set is so cute. I used the party hat from the set as well, masked it off so he looked like he was actually wearing it and there you go... now he is a lion ready for a party:)

I wanted to keep this card simple and clean by just having it on a clean white background which I used Neenah 80lb card stock.  I then used a new border die called Stiched Borders by Lawn Fawn, it allows you to make that stiched border you see on the top and bottom.  It's new to my collection but already a favorite!  I then completed my images with some simple Copic coloring.  Well, right now that is all I can do is "simple" so it worked out well:)

I then took my image panel which is cut slightly smaller then my A2 size card and backed it with a sheet of fun foam for some dimension.  Here is a closer look at the set that I used today:
Well that is all for today.  Thank you for taking a peek today:)  Until next time...

Bokeh Panel

Hi stampers.  A quick share with you today of another card that we made during our stamp camp this past weekend.

This card is using the Bokeh Technique.  A technique that has various shapes in different sizes that are too look as if they are fuzzy and in the distance.  At least that is how I like to describe it:)

Again today my card is using new products that are in the new Annual Catalog so I can't share them with you quite yet... but isn't the new In-Color Sweet Sugarplum (which is the base of the card) gorgeous??? I just love it!! Along with all the other new In-Colors!

Air Balloon Birthday

Hi friends.  Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today's card share.  Today I am sharing a  Sara's Simple Shares birthday card, that I made using the Balloon Framelits.  This framelit set you can get in a bundle along with the Celebrate Today stamp set, which is also used in today's card.  If you choose to purchase it in a bundle you will save 15%.  Who doesn't love to save?!?!?!?

I created a simple background using some sponges and the "cloud" looking punch from the Tree Builder punch.  It is actually yes suppose to be a tree topper but hey, you can use it however you want right?  By sponging lightly with my Soft Sky ink I was able to create some awesome cloud effects:)

The card today measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and is a one layer card.  Meaning that the images are right on the card base itself, there are no other pieces attached to it.

Birthday Giraffe

Hi there everyone.  Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today's card share.

Today's card is a Punch Art card that I made for a co-worker is LOVES giraffes.  I just thought this little guy was sooo cute and would be perfect for her;)

The sentiment that I used comes from the set Sassy Salutations.  It is one of my favorite sets and has been around for quite some time.  Unfortunetly it has found itself on the retiring list this year so will be leaving us soon.  You can still purchase this set though so don't wait, place your order HERE.

This little guy is made up using the Flower Madallion Punch, Elegant Butterfly Punch, Bitty Butterfly Punch, Large Oval Punch, 1 1/2" Circle Punch and the Tree Builder Punch.  The leaves in the background come from the Rose Garden Framelit set.  I made my own DSP using the Wild Wasabi card stock and did a tone on tone using an image from the Vintage Leaves set.

I sure do hope that you all enjoyed today's share.  Don't forget to check out the:

Pop Up Z-Fold Video

Hi there!! Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today's Friday Video.

The other day I posted the Pop Up Z-Fold card.  I thought that I would follow that up with a video for you all:)  I changed it up a bit and created a birthday card this time.  I LOVE the color combination of Green/Pink together!!!!  The Cucumber Crush is a nice bright/vibrant color and goes great with the Melon Mambo (one of my all-time fav colors). I accented it with some DSP from the Brights DSP Paper Pack.  It comes with all the colors in that color collection in a variety of different prints:)  LOVE IT!!!

Let's get some measurements:

*Base 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2" and 2 3/4"
*Strip is 1" x 11", scored at 5 1/2" and 2 3/4"
*Large front panel Whisper White 4" x 2 1/2"
*Front panel DSP 3 3/4" x 2"
*Inside piece of DSP 4" x 5 1/4"

Paper Piecing Rose Garden

Well hello there friends.  Thanks so much for stopping by today and peeking in on today's share:)

Today I am sharing a paper piecing card using the Rose Garden framelit.  This is a birthday card for a very special friend.  I wanted it to be very simple looking (although this card is a bit time consuming) and very elegant:)

I chose to only have one color on this entire card and that is the Red Glimmer Paper.  I love the glimmer paper and all the shine!!!  The outline is of course in the Basic Black.  The card measures average size of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and is a single layer card.
