Team Color Challenge
Hi there everyone! Today's share is a card that i made using the Color Challenge colors that my team leader gave us as a challenge. The colors we had to used were Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz, and Pool Party.
I chose to use the Early Espresso as my card base which measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2", average size. Then i did my second layer of Pool Party 1/4" smaller than that and then my Pear Pizzazz as my third layer and that again 1/4" small than the previous one. The vocal point of my card is my image which is from the Simple Stems stamp set that is available right now in the Occasion Mini. It is also the product that i am showcasing today. For all you flower lovers out there this is a great set.
My final color for the Color Challenge was the Crumb Cake and i chose to use that behind my Very Vanilla which is what my image is on. I thought my card was a little to plain so i added some scallops using my Scallop Trim Boarder with the Early Espresso card stock. My sentiment came from the Yippie Skippie stamp set and i just stamped that right on the base of my card in the Early Espresso ink.
Well, that is all for today my friends. Until next time...
Happy Inkin'

Lovin' Valentine
Hi everyone. Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today share!!!
Today we have a quick post showing another Valentines Day card using the cute photopolyer set Countless Sayings 1. Have i mentioned how much i am obsessed with this set as well as the Countless Sayings 2 set. They are awesome!!!!
I recently just received some new chevron ribbon in the Blushing Bride. This ribbon is great. You wouldn't believe how soft it is, i was amazed!! I love wrapping ribbons around cards, it gives it such a nice, elegant, clean look i think. I wanted to share with you how i wrap my ribbon around my card if i only have the base to work with, meaning i don't have any layers on my card.
On the scored part of my card i take my exacto knife and cut a slit into it the width of my ribbon, feed it through (starting from the inside out) and then tie it in the middle. It's as simple as that! It may bother some that you can see the ribbon from the inside of the card but that doesn't bother me so this way works out great!!
To finish my card off i used 2 different sizes of the Heart Framelits and then dipped the smaller of the two in some VersaMark and Clear Embossing Powder, heat set it with my Heat Tool and that is what gave it that nice shiny finish. My sentiment is also heat embossed with the Melon Mambo Embossing Powder.
The item that i am showcasing today is the stamp set that i used today, Countless Sayings 1, it's awesome... but i am pretty sure i have already told you that today, lol:
Well that is all for today my friends. I hope you enjoyed and until next time...

Look Up To Father
Hi there all, welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'!
Today's share is of a masculine card using the new stamp set Look Up To Father, available right now in the Occasion Mini. This week we have to birthday's to celebrate. My wonderful dad's was today (the 27th) and then my grandfather's is tomorrow (28th). Therefore i thought it was be a perfect time to showcase this stamp.
This card measures average size of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I used a piece of Crumb Cake card stock with the new Hardwood large background stamp. To add a bit of more.... decoration... i cut a small piece of Early Espresso card stock measuring at 3/4" x 5 1/2". I think it gives it a bit more "wooden panel" look:)
The item that i want to showcase today is of course, the vocal point stamp that i used today, Look Up To Father. This is a simple, wood mounted stamp and is a great addition to any stampers collection:
Well thanks so much for stopping by today all. I hope you enjoyed today's share and until next time...

Valentines Day Card with Framelits Video
Hey there all. Well, it is Friday (finally) and time for another Friday Video!!!
Today's video is of a card that i made and shared with you a couple of weeks ago. To view that post click HERE. I wanted to share this with you because with Valentines Day right around the corner, it is great to make your own homemade Valentines (at least i think, lol) so this idea and video tutorial shows this simple one here in time to make them if you would like:)
Another reason i love this card so much is that it has a ton of dimension but isn't bulky so it still fits in an envelope perfectly. The card measures average size of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and has two other layers atop of the base. Let's go ahead and take a look at today's video!!
If you missed those other two layer measurements here they are again! The middle layer (the first piece of DSP) is cut at 4" x 5 1/4" and the top layer is cut at 3 3/4" x 5". Now when cutting your DSP with your framelit, remember that you want to cut your small piece of DSP with your large framelit and your large piece of DSP with the small framelit. Sounds backwards but that's the way it is, lol;)
The items that i am going to be showcasing today are the Heart Framelits and the DSP that i used... the Fresh Prints DSP which you can get right now in the OCCASION MINI
Well that is all for this Friday my friends. Thanks so much for stopping by and i hope you do so again soon!! Until then...
Happy Inkin'

Team Sketch
Hi there all. Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'!!
Today's share is of a card i made going by the Team Sketch that one of my fellow stampers from Frenchie's Team created. I was super excited that i was able to follow a sketch this time:) Here is the awesome sketch that she did that we all followed:
As you can tell i flipped mine so that it went the long way. My idea worked better that way. My card base is Basic Black and measures average size of 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" and is just a single piece, i wanted the base of my card though to also serve as an outline for my Strawberry Slush, which is the color i chose for my next layer (which is what opens up for my actual card), this piece measures 5 1/4" x 4".
For my top piece there i used the Silver Foil paper... a product that just arrived at my house today in another one of those awesome SU! boxes. Whenever i know that there is an order on the way, it feels like Christmas all over again. This paper is great and works wonderful in the embossing folders. Which i used also on today's card using the Arrows folder which is available right now in the Occasions Mini. For my sentiment i used the new Polymer stamp set Countless Sayings 2. It is a great set for Valentines Day which is coming up but also just for gooshy cards that you may want to give to the one that you love on any given day. Then for my little embellishment in the corner i used the Silver Glimmer Paper.
Well that is all for today friends. Until next time...
Happy Inkin'

Thinking Outside the Banner
Hey there all!! Today's share is a couple cards that i made using the Heartfelt Banner Kit which is an item that you can get for Sale-A-Bration beginning on January 28th. It's almost here!!! YAY!!!! I can't show you the whole kit but these are a sneak peek of a few of the things that come in the kit. Now, i haven't really been into banners... i have only made a few of them but i LOVED the items in this kit, so i decided one day to use the items in the kit on cards. Hence, "Thinking Outside the Banner".
For my first card (the one showed above) the items that are from the Heartfelt Banner Kit are the two banner looking pieces that are in the background backing the vocal point, which is the top piece that has the flowers on it. My card is using the Crushed Curry and is average sie of 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2". I wanted my vocal piece to pop a little so i took my Sponge Dauber and a little Baked Brown Sugar. I made it into a thank you card using the Oh, Hello stamp set.
For my second card i used two Chevron banner piece that came in the kit, and the only thing that i did to them was add a piece of Basic Black as a backing piece. I then used the AWESOME Chevron Boarder Punch on the bottom and backed that with a piece of Basic Black as well.
For my sentiment... it is another sneak peek of a stamp set that you can get from the Sale-A-Bration brochure. Now, what is Sale-A-Bration you ask? Well, it is an amazing promotion that SU! throws every year where they put together a few products (in this case 13) and with every $50 you spend you can choose one of the products for FREE. Plus there is no limit... you spend $50 you get 1 item... $100 you get 2 items and so on.
So, now for the 2 items that i am showcasing today. First off is the stamp set that i used for my first card, Oh, Hello:
And for my my second item it is the Chevron Boarder Punch.
Well that is all for today my friends. I really hope you enjoyed today's 2 shares. Until next time...
Happy Inkin'
