Looking In

Hi there stampers.  Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today's card share.  I saw a card on Pinterest that gave me the inspiration to make this one.  When you think of the window framelit you don't, at least i didn't, ever think about looking inward, it's always looking outside.  So I thought I would switch it up.  

My card measures average size of 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2".  I used the Brick embossing folder for the background of my card and then of course the Hearth & Home Framelits along with my Big Shot.  I used my Doilys and created some curtains in the window.  Super cute!!! 

Then to add that last finishing touch I used my 1 3/4" Scallop Circle punch and created some bushes.  I love the way it turned out.  I decided to use this card as a "Missing You" card.  With the greeting in the bottom left-hand corner.  I didn't want the greeting to be large since the card was more of a cutesy punch art card... but I didn't want to have no greeting.

The item that I am showcasing today is the Hearth & Home Framelits and the Big Shot.  Two FABULOUS products!!!

Sky Is The Limit

Hello Stampers!! Happy Valentines Day to you all!!  So, this is my first card share since I have been back in action.  I wanted to share a card with you that uses an item that is in the Sale-A-Bration catalog right now that is only available through February 15th.  Sale-A-Bration is not ending on February 15th, but there are a few items that are "short term" items.  Which the Sky is the Limit stamp set is one of them.

When I see this stamp set I automatically think "masculine", so that is the direction I went.  I did add some "bling" though with the Gold Glimmer paper.  Of course the item that I am showcasing today is the Sky Is The Limit stamp set:

So, on a side note I wanted to share with you the card that I made for my hubby.  I used the Heart Framelits that unfortunetly are retired but I still love them and obviously think that they work great for Valentines Day.

Isn't it cute?  Then, I got the cutest surprise for Valentines Day, something that I have been wanting...

I love, love, LOVE breakfast sammy's!!! To me this was the perfect gift.  We used it the morning of Valentines Day and they turned out AWESOME!!!! I am in love with it!!! Thank you so much Boo Bear!!!

New Nook

Hi Stampers!!!  So, I still don't have a new card project to share.  I am currently awaiting the arrival of the UPS truck to bring me my newest items so that I can get busy creating!!  In the mean time I thought I would share with you the newest addition to my crafting space that my hubby built for me... my little "Nook"

I wanted a space in my room that was just for blogging, ordering and (urg) bill paying, lol:)  I have my tablet that I use at my crafting desk that allows me to do the things that I need to right from my desk but I hated having my laptop taking up precious space when I was blogging, or having to push things aside to make room for it to post to my blog so, I searched around on Pinerest (am addicted still to that site) and noticed that a lot of people turn their closets into little Nook's.  I was so excited.  So, my hubby put this little piece of heaven together for me and I love it!!!

It is nothing super, duper fancy but it is perfect for me!! I just love how everything that I need for posting, ordering or what have you is right at my fingertips and all neat and organized.  The only thing that I have to get to complete my little Nook is a new chair.  Right now I am just using a folding chair which is fine but I think that a different chair will just be the icing on the cake, lol:)  

So on a personal level, my little one and my hubby both tested positive yesterday with the flu.  Man, is this thing vicious!!  It has them both down right now with fevers, chills and upset tummies.  So for the past 2 days I have been playing doctor mom.  I just feel so bad that my two loves are so sick, makes me cry especially when I look at my little one.  She rarely, I mean RARELY ever gets sick and when she does it just breaks my heart. 

Well that is my quick post for today friends.  I hope that the wonderful man in the brown truck gets here quick so that I can have a share for you soon!!!  Until next time...

Welcome Back

Wow, well hello stampers.  It has been nearly 7 months since my last post.  I pretty much fell off the face of the Earth:)  A lot has happened to me in the past 7 months, so I thought I would catch you up.  First and foremost my Stampin' Up! demo dropped... I was inactive and that is why you didn't see any more posts from me.  There were some things that were happening in my life that just didn't allow me time to craft and get creative.  However, I AM BACK and under a great new up-line. I am sure you have all heard of her, Dawn Griffith.  You can check out her amazing site here.  I have been watching her videos for years and get a lot of my inspiration from her.  Which if you have watched my videos before I am sure you have heard me mention her.  I am so excited to be back with a new up-line and a new look on crafting.  

Let's see what else, I have switched jobs... I am now a District Court Clerk here in our county court house in the criminal division.  It is a job that I have been longing for ever since getting into the legal field oh so many years ago.  I love it there and work with an amazing group of people!!!  

The family is all doing well.  Our little Emma is 4 now going on 30, lol:)  She is a crafter herself and her and I spend A LOT of time in my room.  She is really creative and I just love watching her imagination hit the paper.  She just amazes me.  

So, here is the lowdown on my website.  I just (I mean literally just) signed up again with SU! and placed my first order.  Therefore, I am looking at a date of February 15th to have my first card share.  It may be sooner but this gives me time in case it is not.  Until then I will still be posting now and then just to let you all know that I am still here.  I appreciate all the kind words and emails that I got when I hadn't posted in awhile, it really meant a lot to know that there are those out there that enjoy my blog on a daily basis.  Friday Videos are going to be the next thing to come.  Those are hopefully going to come right around the week of the 15th too but those may be another couple weeks behind.  I have to build those up again, lol:)

Best Mother

Hello all.  Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'.  What a wonderful weekend it has been.  The weather has been perfect and we were able to be in the pool and relax in the sunshine.  For today's share I wanted to show you a little card that I made for my amazing Mama.  I used the new specialty paper, Color Me Irresistable.  It is all white, but if you take some color and your Brayer to it, you can make it any color that you want:)  For this card I chose to use Pink Pirouette.  I used a piece of Basic Black form my base.  I LOVE white, pink and black together:)

I then used a flower image from the Crazy About You set and used the coordinating Flower Medallion punch.  To add the finishing touches I used a Metal Rimmed Pearl and my Gel Pen for some faux stitching.

Wishes Your Way

Hi everyone.  Today's card share is a simple card that uses new goodies.  It uses the new Writing Notes background stamp which I must say I was so super excited about when I saw it in the new catalog.  I must say though, in my scrapbooking I am HUGE into journaling and was so excited thinking that I could use this to make my own journaling sheets, but when I received it i noticed that it is made to have the lines look "uneven", so if you are looking for a stamp that has perfectly straight lines for journaling this isn't going to be for you, lol but it is still a great stamp and it is so pretty and neat for backgrounds:)

I used the leaf image from Butterfly Basics and stamped it in Pear Pizzazz, lifted my stamped slightly, moved it a little bit and then stamped it again now giving it a lighter shade of color.  My base measures average size of 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2".  The base of the card is in the Cucumber Crush card stock with the second layer being in the Calypso Coral. This layer measures 4" x 5 1/4".

The item that I am showcasing today is the Writing Notes stamp.  Now I don't want you all to think that I don't like this stamp, because I really do like it... I just wanted everyone to be aware that the lines are not perfect:)  I didn't notice it in the catalog when I looked at it... didn't realize it until I received it:) So just wanted to give a heads up for those that thought they may like to use it for journaling:)

Texan Father's Day

Hi there all my crafty friends.  Today's share is a Father's Day card that I made for my Father-in-Law.  They recently moved to Texas so I thought this was the perfect card.  I used the Star Framelits and heat embossed it with some Silver embossing powder.  I made it 3D by making a score line from each point of the top of the star down to the bottom (indented) point.  Then, you fold on all your score lines and it will become 3D.  

I then used the Brick Wall embossing folder with some Cajun Craze card stock for the wall.  To add a bit more texture I used my Sponge and Cajun Craze ink and just dabbed it all over the brick wall.

I didn't just want my star to be on a piece of Whisper White so I used a piece of scrap Basic Black to put behind the star.  How did I hold the star on there you ask?  Well, I just put Glue Dots on all of the points and then stuck it down.

The item that I am showcasing today are the Heart Framelits.

Sara's Simple Share - Simple Hello

Hi everyone.  Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today's card.  Today is another Sara's Simple Share.  This is a line of products that I make that literally could take 5 minutes or less or even 5 products or less.  Sometimes, we need a certain type of card and don't have one but don't have a lot of time to make one either.

The card that I made today is just a simple hello card.  It uses the Watercolor Wings stamp set.  This is a two (or even three) step stamp set.  Today I chose to used Memento and then Pumpkin Pie ink.

Self Close Bag/Box Video

Hi there stampers.  Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin' and today's Friday Video share! The project that I am sharing today is the Self Close Bag/Box.  They are sooo cute and are great for thank you gifts, party favors... just tons of things!!

Super cute huh?  Here is another peek of the one that I made prior to the video.  It uses Cucumber Crush card stock and then the In-Color Envelope DSP.

I am showcasing 3 items today.  I wanted to showcase the Bohemian DSP and then the Simply Scored and the Diagonal Plate.

Thanks Flower Patch

Hi there peeps.  Welcome to my share today here at Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'.  Today's card is a card that I would call a simple share except for the fussy cut that I did with the wheelbarrow.  For those of you that aren't quite sure what fussy cut is, it is where you take a stamped image and then cut it out by hand.  I don't do it often but I really wanted that wheelbarrow for this card which is from the You're Sublime stamp set that I showcased yesterday.  I told you it was one of my favorites!!

My card measures average size of 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4".  The card stock that I used for my base is Whisper White but it is the thick/heavy Whisper White.  Stampin Up! came out with this with card bases in mind.  It is really wonderful!!!!  I then used a piece of Crumb Cake and the new Brick Wall embossing folder.  I chose to only bring this about half way up my card.  Then, I lined the meeting point of the Whisper White and Crumb Cake with flowers punch out using the Pansy Punch and Flower Shop stamp set.

The item that I am showcasing today is the Brick Wall embossing folder and the Big Shot.  I am really loving this embossing folder too lately!!
