Simple Note For You

Hey there everyone.  A quick post today showcasing a Sara's Simple Share.

The card today is using a piece of DSP that is from the new Pop Of Pink DSP... This so far is my new favorite DSP. I just love all the designs and colors in it.  I chose the black and white strips because I thought it looked so nice with the Mint Macaron (another one of my favorite colors)

The card is 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4".  The first layering piece is 1/8" shorter all the way around.  Then the second Mint Macaron piece is cut at 4 1/2" x 3 1/4" with the DSP measuring 4 1/4" x 3".  Then for my greeting I cut a piece of Whisper White at 3/4" x 2 7/16" and backed it again with the Mint Macaron at 1" x 2 7/16"

The greeting too is from the brand new stamp set Love and Affection!! It's a great set!!  Think you may want to get your hands on some of the pre-order items before they are all available in the annual catalog?  Well right now SU! is offering that if you sign up to become a Demo you can choose from the Preorder list as items to be included in your starter kit:)  WOW!!!!

Mothers Day Sneak Peek

Hello stampers.  Welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'!!

So I am super excited for today's post because this is the first Sneak Peek card that I get to share with you!! The wonderful UPS man showed up the other day and just made my day.  I instantly started playing with me new goodies:)  However with this being a sneak peek my supply list is going to be quite short, lol:)

This card that I am sharing today is the Mother's Day card that I made for my amazing Momma!!!  I used nothing by the new 2016-18 In-Colors and I have to say WOW!!! These colors are amazing!!!  They are all so fresh looking and they all coordinate really well together.

The new In-Colors are:
* Dapper Denim
*Flirty Flamingo
* Sweet Sugarplum
*Emerald Envy
* Peekaboo Peach

Believe it or not the DSP is actually homemade DSP that I made using a new stamp set called Love and Affection.  It's amazing.  I love how you can build up the flowers:)  That is also where the greeting comes from.  Which when I saw this greeting I instantly thought of my Momma!!!  I stamped the image and then cut it out using the new Sweet and Sassy Heart Framelits!! OMG, the new framelits are amazing!!!

Now, right now Stampin' Up! is doing something that they have NEVER done before... which is right now if you become a SU! Demo, you can order items from the Pre-Order list as part of your Demo Kit!! Oh my goodness!!!!!

The card measures average size of 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2".  I didn't want a lot of extras on the card because I wanted the Lion to be the main vocal piece, so I just embellished with a couple balloons and of course the number 1.

Tractor Punch Art

Hello all!! So sorry that I was MIA yesterday, I was busy creating and just didn't get a chance to post:(  Today's card share is of a Tractor Punch Art card that I was asked to make for one of my co-workers grandsons.  She actually has 2 grandsons with almost the same birthday so the second card that I made for her will be shown tomorrow.

I was told that he liked tractors, so with a little inspiration from Pinterest and my own flair I came up with this.  This card took a ton of punches which I love to use punches. Punch Art cards are one of my favorites to make!!!

Now, being that this card takes a lot of supplies, my craft desk was a bit messy...

But it's like that saying with the kitchen that I have heard... the bigger the mess the better the meal... well I like to think the bigger the mess the more creativity:)  That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

And... I'm so excited because today was the first day of Pre-Orders for SU! Demos!!! I can't wait to get all my supplies and be able to show you all some sneak peek's!!  Think that you may like to be a SU! demo as well... have some questions, click HERE to be taken to my page to see what you can earn and how you can sign up!!! I would love to have you on my team!!

May Thank You's

Hi stampers! Thanks for peeking in today at Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'!!

Today I wanted to share with you my May Thank You's.  I chose to use the technique color block (or that is what I call it), where you place ink using your Stampin' Write Markers, today I used Wild Wasabi, Perfect Plum and Island Indigo, directly on your clear block, spritz a bit of water on it and then place it directly on your paper.  I love this technique and the way that it creates it's own background.

My card this month measures 4" x 4".  Another great thing about doing this technique is that you don't ever get the same background twice, they are always different.

For one of my cards shown above I spritzed the block more than once, filling it with water.  This caused the ink to fun and blend together more.  The second time I spritzed the block only once, barely wetting it, this allowed for the colors to stay in place and be  bit more brighter.  These two were also using just Whisper White card stock.  The third card show above I used the Watercolor card stock, spritzed my block just one and placed it on the paper.  With the Watercolor paper it left it more spotty... not getting great coverage, however this is my favorite one of the 3.

I think it just has a ton of character and is beautiful!!  I then took a solid image from the Butterfly Basics stamp set and then a greeting from the Petite Pairs set (a set that is on the retiring list, that I am super sad about).  I love how they are pretty and simple:)  That's why they are listed under Sara's Simple Shares:)

Folded Flap Gift Card Holder Video

Hello everyone.  Welcome to today's Friday Video here at Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'!  I am so glad you were able to peek in today:)

Today's share is of a gift card holder (you all know how much I LOVE gift card holders!!). This is using a fold that I shared with you a little bit ago, when I posted the Pop Up Z-Fold Card.

I think that gift card holders are so fun to make.  You can use them for anything.  I love having a stack of them all done and ready to go.

Now in the video I showed you another card that I made where I used the In This Together stamp set.  This is a set that is on the Retiring List so make sure you snatch it up before it is too late:)

Thanks so much for joining me today friends.

Starburst Background

Hey there all!  Quick share for you today of this card that I made using the Flower Fair Thinlits.  I chose one of the flower shapes that I thought would be fun as a starburst background.

My card measures average size of 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2" and is in the Bermuda Bay card stock.  I chose this color because it is also the color that I used for my starbursts and wanted it to all tie in together.

I wanted my greeting to by my main vocal point so I chose to stamp it on a piece of Whisper White and then just leave it as is.  I colored in the word "Friend" with my Melon Mambo Stampin' Write Marker so that word would POP:)  To add some bling I added Jewels to the centers of all the starbursts.  Now it may look like this card has a lot going on but it is actually very simple to make.  You could use any shape for the background that you have (if you anything like me when you cut one shape you cut extra just to have on hand), so this card is actually part of Sara's Simple Shares.

So, there you have it friends.  I hope you enjoyed!!

Baby Shaker Card

Hi stampers, welcome to Mrs. Lincoln's Inkin'!!

Today I am sharing a shaker card that I made using a Baby theme.  A couple of my friends are expecting right now so baby cards have been on my mind.

Shaker Cards are one of my favorite types of cards to make. They are so fun and I love that they are interactive.  And what cuter theme for a shaker card then a baby... shaker... rattle... they all go together right?

The stamp set that I used is he Something for Baby set and the coordinating framelits for the tiny flower and the booties.  To fill my shaker I used Gold and Blushing Bride Sequence.  I just cut them off of the string and put them in there.  They "shake" great:)

To add some texture to the background of my card I used the Decorative Dots embossing folder.  This item is on the retiring list.  If you haven't see that list yet you can view it HERE.

That is the share for today friends.  Don't forget to check out the:
